Alex and I still attend every game, as if we could play. Our teams overall record is 18-4, one of the best records in the state, even without Alex and me. We have our last season game in two weeks, but three more games until that. Right now, it looks like we'll be going to the States Tournament (Regionals).

I am currently dressing for a game. I pull my long hair into a high ponytail and pull my favorite black, Under Armor headband. I look into the large mirror. I see a tall, slender girl with long hair and dark blue eyes. I see a teenager that wants to play basketball, but can't. I see a girl that feels small in a big world.

We go on to win the game 50-56. It felt like we were killing the other team, until all of our starters fouled out. After that, the game got quite close. Alex and I are sitting on my giant, remote controlled couch, in my basement. We are playing NBA Live '06 on my PS2. We are the '80s all stars, and we are killing the opponent, the Golden State Warriors. We complete the first half of the game, when my Braden calls me.

"Linds! Grandma's here!"

"What?!" I cry. Both of my grandmas live in Georgia. "Why?"

"She wanted to surprise us!"

I skip up the stairs three at a time.

We talk for a while and I introduce her to Alex. Alex goes home, and now it's just my me and my grandma.

"How's the head?"

"Ok."

"How's the boy's team?"

"Awesome!"

"That's good." Suddenly, she looks very pale. "Lindsey!" She croaks. "Get your mother. Hurry." She begins coughing loudly.
