Calum:

As soon as she walked in, i couldn't keep my eyes off of her. She wasnt one of those girls you would see in a magazine, in fact, she was quite the opposite, but yet she was stunning. She was pretty short, about 5'4", she had long curly brown hair, kind of like Katy's, but more loose. I could tell she worked out too, which I found extremely attractive. She introduced herself as Emily and after a few 'hello's and small talk we shifted over to the couch to watch Ash and Mikey play video games on the TV.
She seemed pretty shy at first, but once she got comfortable on the couch and starting talking to Katy, I knew she had more to her.

Although Katy and Luke already had lunch at Panda Express, they were fine with us all going there for dinner. Luke then surprised me by saying that I was going to be taking Emily instead of him and Katy. I was kind of nervous because I knew nothing about this girl and the drive to Panda was going to take a while, but this was my opportunity.

We climbed into my Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition Jeep Wrangler. I took a chance to look over at her and realized she was staring right back at me, neither of us saying anything. Great. Why am I so awkward. This is why I never get dates! I gave her a small smile, which she returned, and focused on pulling out of the parking lot. To ease some of the awkwardness I decided to play some music. I plugged my phone into the AUX cord connected to my Jeep's speakers and pressed shuffle. As soon as the first chord played I knew it was "Check Yes, Juliet" by We The Kings, it was one of my ultimate favorites! Not long after it started I could hear Emily quietly humming to the song. I glanced over at her, thankfully she wasn't looking back at me again so I could watch her for a little bit longer with out it being awkward. She had a small smile on her face and she was moving her head to the beat while quietly humming to the all familiar tune. She was so beautiful.

Before I could turn away she turned her head to face me. Crap! I quickly looked away and chuckled nervously. She stopped humming immediately and from the pink in her cheeks, i could tell she felt embarrassed.
Well at least she had good taste in music, besides listening to us and Little Sea. I mean sometimes I think we suck but everyone else thinks we are awesome so I go with.

I turned up the volume and sang along to the chorus. I looked over at her and she looked like she went through a state of shock. Her eyes grew wide and her lips were slightly parted as she stared at me. "Don't make me sing alone!" I laughed.

"Check yes, Juliet ill be waiting. Wishing, wanting, yours for the taking. Just sneak out and don't tell a soul goodbye." I sang the first part of the second lyric. Thats when she joined me.

"Check yes, Juliet heres the countdown. 3, 2, 1, now fall in my arms now. They can change the locks, don't let them change your mind." Now it was my turn to stare. She had a beautiful voice. She was so into the song and she wasn't even looking at me. It was like she was in her own little world and I loved it.

Now the chorus was coming up. As soon as the beat paused we immediately looked at each other and belted out the chorus at the top of our lungs.
"Run baby run! Don't ever look back! They'll tear us apart if you give them the chance! Don't tell your heart, don't say we're not meant to be! Run baby run! Forever we'll be! You and me!"
We continued to sing the rest of the song at the top of our lungs. Once it was over we bursted out laughing. A Sleeping with Sirens song came on and i turned the volume down to talk to her.
"So you like 'Check Yes, Juliet'?" I asked.
"Yeah" she said with a little smile. "It's actually one of my favorites!" She stated with more enthusiasm.
"Really? Mine too!" It wasn't until then that I realized she had such beautiful eyes. They were hazel, a green sort of color, some light brown around the edges, and gold flecks all over. For some strange reason I couldn't turn away.
"Hey Calum?"
"Yeah?" I asked, still looking at her.
"The light turned green." She giggled.
I faced the front of the car and quickly drove past the intersection. I could feel my cheeks heating up and I knew she could tell I was blushing.

Finally we arrived and after pulling into a parking spot i hopped out of the Jeep and jogged to Emily's side to open the door for her. She looked up surprised and quietly thanked me.
After ordering our food and sitting next to the lads and Katy, we continued with some small talk.

I got to know a little bit more about Emily. She told me about college, work, and how she and Katy met.
I was actually interested in what she was saying. Which was surprising, even to me, because usually i didn't pay much attention to what other girls talked about when they tried to tell their life story, but I hung on to every last word that came out of Emily's mouth.

Emily and Katy then asked us questions about how our song writing and recording was going. We tried to tell them as much as we could with out giving too much away, which we would get in so much trouble for.

When we were finished with dinner we headed back to the band house. Which included another jam session with Emily the entire way back. Sadly, Emily and Katy had to go back to their apartment so we all exchanged numbers, gave each other hugs, and said goodbye.
