I woke up on something incredibly soft. I opened my eyes and the light pierced through. My eyes adjusted to the light and the blur had vanished. I rubbed my eyes a little more to see them clearly. A tall figured towered over me.He put a small blue ice pack on my forehead making me flinch at how cold it was.
"H-hello" I greeted nervously. Not entirely sure how to greet people I have barely talked to. "Who are you and where am I if you mind me asking?" I asked taking the cold ice pack off my forehead and resting it on my lap. My forehead ached badly but I tried to ignore it"You're at my house". He spoke finally. He was tall and well built. His light curls reflected the sun rays from the window. His tall posture and mannerism was unique. He wore a grey button up shirt which went all the way to his collar and every single button was done up. His sleeves were rolled up revealing his arms. His jaw could cut through an apple straight through and as for his eyes and as for his eyes he owned those warm chocolate and honey coloured eyes which complemented his personality.
"A tree trunk had fallen on your head in the woods" he explained and gave me a small sympathetic smile. I put my palm up to my head feeling the slight bump to it. The stinging sensation kicked in when I touched it. I let out a small whimper from the pain. "Don't touch it, it will hurt more" he warned gently as if explaining something to a baby. "Thanks" I said and he nodded.
"What's your name?" His eyes sparkled as he spoke. "Alex" I answered.I suddenly remembered about my bag which contained my camera. I looked around the sofa I was laying on but my bag was nowhere."Where's my bag?" I asked. "What bag?" he asked.
"I had a bag on me when I passed out" I panicked. "It's probably still in the woods, what's so important about it?" he asked with curiosity written on his face. "It has a camera in it, and I took a picture of the most beautiful wolf I've ever seen and I can't afford to lose it any cost" I ranted. He chuckled and scratched the nape of his neck slightly."Why are you laughing?" I asked. There was a small pause. He furrowed his eyebrows as if mentally debating with himself ."Because I was the wolf" he explained. I felt my brain tackle the side of my skull. Is he serious? The wolf I had met in the woods. The wolf I had touched. The wolf who enjoyed my touch. It can't certainly be him right? "Excuse me" I said.
"I was the wolf you met in the woods" he repeated. "H-how?" I asked. "Here let me prove it" he explained.
I watched in amazement as his eyes turned into an orange dark colour from its usual chocolate brown and his toes broke, followed by the rest. white-grey fur sprouted from his skin as his face and skull stretched back. The wolf stared at me with its beautiful eyes.
I was in shock. How was it possible for someone to transform in to an animal in a matter of seconds?
My head started pounding more than it did before. I massaged my temples, trying to sooth the pain away. I watched as the wolf turned back to his human form. "Are you sure you are OK? You seem a bit pale" He asked.
"I'm fine, I'm fine" I replied, and shook my hand dismissively.
"Hey I'm David" He smiled. He and the guy who scowled at me were twins, and judging by how they reacted to me I could tell that they had opposite personalities. The cheeky looking one also greeted me. "I'm Tyler" he smiled. But of Course's David's twin did not approach me not that I wanted him to.
Tyler came close to my ear "Ignore Damien, he can be a little unplesant sometimes" he whispered.
A little?I turned back to wolf guy, who sat awkwardly with the other.
"In the forest.. why did you let me touch you?" I asked curiously. This question was playing football in my mind. Back and forth. He turned his attention back to me."I'm not sure why, I don't usually do that" he said.
"Chase can I have a word with you?" Damien (scowling demon) asked dominantly. Chase and Damien spent a few seconds giving eachother weird glares and glances. As if they understood what each other was thinking. Chase nodded and followed Damien into another room. I had a feeling this was about me, as strangely as that sounds. I was left alone with Tyler and David.Their house was like mine, it was made of wood planks lined rnadomely wth eachother and it was quite cosy, the living room was decorated in good furniture, the kitchen was quite big also and it was right at the other end of the living room. "So you're all wolves too?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah" they both answered in sync."So why did you go in the woods, we have never seen another person come here before..ever" David asked."Oh, I came here to take pictures of scenery and animals so I can sketch them later" I answered.
David smiled at my answer. David and Tyler were actually really nice, in comparison to David's no good brother. I know it's wrong for me to say that because I haven't technically talked to him, but if you're going to scowl at me for no reason you shall not be in my good books.Chase and Damien entered a few minutes later and they were a bit tense. Damien's face was all red as if he walked into a steel door. I observed them both. Chase looked calmer than Damien yet he somehow seemed moody.
"Well, let's go look for the camera" he said sweetly. I nodded but before I left his house I noticed he sent a glare towards Damien which had gotten me curious about what they were talking about.
He walked with me outside and shut the door behind them. Once again I was left to embrace the beauty of the wood before me. But this time I will not be hit by a tree trunk, well I hope not.We started walking in silence, I just followed him obviously I didn't know where the place was seemingly it was my first time in the woods anyway. I looked at my surroundings. The woods looked untouched and as amazing as I last saw it. The thought of wolves made me cruious yet nervous all at once.
This was a new beginning.
