Aurora (Chase's girlfriend) >>
I gently seated upon the ground, and leaned onto my wooden front door. The cold wind brushed past my face, chasing away loose strands of hair off my face. I let out a deep sigh, as words swarmed my mind. I was inwardly debating with myself, whether to tell dad about Hunter and the mark or not. Or maybe it wasn't the right time to say so. I obviously can't keep this a secret, it will sooner or later be revealed anyway, so there is no point. The sky was a gloomy blue colour, with blobs of clouds floating here and there.
The wood was calm and quiet. Only the sounds of rusting trees and the howling of the wind was heard. I admired the scenary from a far. I gripped onto my sketching pencil, and swiftly put it against my paper, making smooth patterns and light texture. I scraped my pencil across it, making sure I make no wrong move. The pencil glides elegantly as if it had gotten a mind of it's own. My fingers smudged the edges of the pencil lines, creating a beautiful effect. I held my pencil closer then glided it down the page, making a messy shape. I ruffled my hair to one side, and gazed upon my sketch. I had sketched a dark wolf, with it's teeth blaring. The eyes of the wolf were deep and intriguing. The fur was perfectly outstretched and life like.
Dad came behind me with two mug's in his hands. "Coffee?" He asked. "Sure" I answered, and took the warm mug off his hands. I ptu ym sketchbook to one side. Then put the mug to my lips, feeling the warmth of the liquid sliding down my throat as I let out a moan of pleasure from the taste and warmth.
"What are you sketching?" he asked. Leaning forward to take a look at my sketchbook. "It's a wolf" I answered, while putting the mug down. "It's good" he complemented, and took a sip of his coffee. "Thanks" I replied. "Dad I need to talk-" I murmured, but before I could finish off Brooke came running from the wood.
She stopped to a hault and smiled at me. "Hey girl" She greeted. Dad had walked off back to the kitchen. "Hey" I answered back. "What are you doing?"She asked. Leaning into my sketchbook. She casted a shadow onto it. She looked at the sketchbook "Wow" she huffed. "This is amazing" She complemented. She took the sketch book off my hands, and put it closer to her face. Her eyes travelled every inch down the paper, studying every pencil stroke with complete focus.
"This is really good" she breathed. "Is that Hunter?" she asked. My eyes widened. "No, that's not hunter. I made that wolf out of imagination" I answered. "Really? because it looks a lot like Hunter. You got the eyes, the fur ,everything right" she questioned. "What are you talking about? let me see that" I furrowed my eyebrows and took the sketchbook away from her. My eyes fell on the sketchbook and surprisingly she was right. I had drawn Hunter as a wolf, without even knowing it. I simply scratched my head nervously. I don't remember thinking I was sketching Hunter.
"It's probably just a coincidence" I shrugged. When I looked back at Brooke she was staring at something else. Brooke didn't look very pleased, at whatever she was looking at. I followed her gaze and saw she was looking at Chase, who was walking towards us. I confusingly looked back at Brooke. Brooke motioned me to look back at Chase through her eyes. I looked back and saw a girl walking hand in hand with Chase. She giggled slightly, and swayed her hips confidently.
Brooke let out a groan, and she rolled her eyes. I nudged her in the shoulder, confused as to why she didn't look pleased.
But before I could Chase and the mysterious girl arrived. Chase sent me a pleasant smile towards me and I smiled back. The girl was quite pretty. she had shoulder waist length blonde hair, which was slightly curvy at the ends. She wore a light pink top which stopped at her stomach and light coloured jeans. She smiled at Chase gently but when she saw Chase smiling at me she frowned slightly. I furrowed my eyebrows at her, but she quickly maintained herself, and put up the most fake smile ever towards me. Brooke rolled her eyes, and I did my best to control my laughter. I can tell if someone is faking their feelings or emotions, Back in California. I wasn't the talkative person. Instead I was very observant. All the people I had seen were different to how they looked. I think that's how I can easily judge people.
"Hi Alex" Chase greeted. "Hey" I greeted back. "This is Aurora, my girlfriend, the girl I was talking to you about, Aurora this is Alex" he smiled. The blonde's name was Aurora. Aurora lightly flipped her hair, and tilted her head to the side with the same fake smile. Her eyes narrow into slits and centered on me. I can see the calculations there and can't suppress a smile. As if she were mentally stabbing me with a knife multiple times in the heart.
This girl obviously doesn't like me, but I'm guessing Chase told her that me and Chase were dating before, not that it mattered to me. "Alex, what's that on your neck?" he asked. My hand travelled to where my mark was. I pulled my collar up, hiding the ugly thing. "It's nothing" I assured, but Chase simply walked upto me and pulled the collar, to see the mark. "Alex, you've been marked?" he asked, moving his hands away. "By who?" he asked. I let out a sigh. "Hunter" I answered. His eyes widened and burned with rage. "He did what?" he raged, already trying to walk into the wood.
"No wait, Chase stop" I pleaded. I know this is unlike me. and I wouldn't mind Hunter getting thrashed hard, because really we all know what he did was wrong, but in all honesty we also know that Hunter is way stronger than Chase. And I don't want Chase hurt. "Chase, I don't mind the mark" I lied. He looked at me weirdly, then stopped in his tracks. "Okay" he relaxed himself and gave me a smile, which made Aurora frown with jealousy. I couldn't help but chuckle slightly. "What changed your mind?" he asked. "He's changed" I said the first thing that came to mind, but that doesn't mean it's true.He let out a sigh and ruffled his hair. "Fair enough" he smiled. "Oh and David and Tyler miss you so much" he smiles. I haven't seen them in ages, and I missed them too.
"I miss them too" I replied, thinking back to Tyler and David. Damien obviously still doesn't trust me.
I totally forgot about Aurora, who was standing there staring at me then at Chase. Obviously not pleased. I gave her a cheesy grin, and she rolled her eyes. "Then lets go see them" Chase smiled and took me by the hand, which made Aurora growl. Guessing she is a wolf, by her aggressiveness. We all started walking back to Chase's house, to see Tyler and David. Chase still holding onto my hand, surprisingly. I thought he would be more cautious around his girlfriend but you can't always be right.
Aurora followed behind us. Her stare directly at me and my hand which Chase held firmly in his grasp. I couldn't but laugh a little at her behaviour, Brooke did the same. I'm guessing she wasn't very fond of Aurora. I really can't blame her. Aurora nervously shifted from one place to another.
I walked alongside Brooke, and she made funny faces, to get me laughing. It didn't really work, which had to make her give up. I chuckled at her defeat. We finally arrived at the house. I didn't hesitate to run inside with Brooke to see Tyler and David. But to my luck it was just Damien.
Damien scowled at me. I rolled my eyes at him. He lay feet up on the sofa, with his phone in hand possibly texting. He wore dark jeans and a light t-shirt, which looked quite scruffy yet good on him. "Where is Tyler and David?" I asked. "They don't need to see you" he jeered, without looking away from his phone screen. ."Just tell me where they are" I crossed my arms. The door opened and Tyler and David walked in. They smiled towards me pulled me into a bear crushing hug.
"Hey Ally" Tyler smiled, and so did David. Just then Chase and Aurora walked in and Tyler and David's smile faded at the sight of Aurora. "Hi Tyler and David" She chimed. "hi" Tyler murmured, and then pulled me into the kitchen along with David. "What's up?" I asked, slightly confused as to why they pulled me into the kitchen. "We don't like her" Tyler muttered. "You should be with Chase and not her" David explained. I couldn't help but smile a little. "I don't really want to get back with Chase, plus I can't anyway" I sighed, pointing to my mark. "Who did that?" They asked in sync. "Hunter" I answered. "But I thought..." he confusedly said, but I interrupted. "He's in love with me" I interrupted. They both looked at eachother weirdly.
"But then that means you'll become a wolf from the bite" David mentioned. "I know" I replied. "And you're okay with turning into a wolf?" David asked. "Are you kidding? I want to be a wolf, the only problem is I have to be Hunter's Luna" I rolled my eyes. "Well atleast, we can take you with us to run" Tyler said excitedly. I nodded. "So why don't you like Aurora?" I asked. "How can you like her? she's evil. Plus she's no good for Chase. I don't know what he sees in her" David answered. Well I guess I'm not the only who doesn't like 'Miss.Fake'
I'm really sorry about this late chapter. I've been really busy lately. Please don't hate me. Also should I keep Damien's character a mystery? Or Expand on him more. I'm literally on a writer's block right now. Also, what do you think about Aurora? Is she good for Chase or not. Again I apologise for this late chapter. Hopefully I've made up for my mistake. Happy Reading.
