I watched quietly observing everything before me. Ruben walked through the halls and gained nasty looks by my people. He furrowed his eyebrows innocently. I watched as two small boys ran through the halls without a care and almost fell on Ruben. Ruben gave them a small smile but the children looked at each other perplexedly as if unsure how to react to such a gesture.

A worried mother ran up to her children and glanced at Ruben. Her worried face turned to mere disgust. "Now now children we do not talk to betrayers" she scolded and ushered the boys away from Ruben. Yet another day I watched Ruben. It did not amuse nor bring me happiness for I know his sadness can never be anything to me. I didn't care how he felt and his loneliness never meant anything to me either. He caused this mess and he is suffering I had nothing to do with it. Much

I was sat comfortably in the library with a book in hand. It was a warm room with book shelves of all kinds of books. Some educational, and some folk tales. Usually out of all our pack only a few would enter the library to settle down with a book or two. However the book I had in hand was untouched. I didn't feel the need to read but sit in silence as thoughts washed over me like a gigantic tidal wave. Ready to pull me into it's depths. I stared at a book shelf in particular. Its mahogany planks lined together carelessly. There were about 2 missing books. You can tell they were missing as 2 gaps were left without books. I brushed the idea off. Maybe the books were replaced who knows. There are far more things to be dealt with than 2 missing books nobody would care to look for.

I put the book I had down. I hadn't even read the title let alone the pages itself. Ruben had come to the pack house only when it was necessary due to the fact that everyone practically hated him. So he was most of the time out of the house. I'm guessing spending time with Alex. Not that it bothered me the slightest.

I got up from my seat and exited the comfort of the library. As I walked out my eyes searched for Ruben. I walked through the hall and earned a few bows of loyalty. It had now become a habit of mine as soon as the alpha label had been given to me to accept all the pride and bows of my people. As it was a sign of respect and love.

I watched as a couple of boys aged probably 13-14 were playing football around the field. I needed my pack to start being trained at early ages in case of problems and pack wars over territory. My father had trained me to accept this attention, even though I found it unnecessary. They reminded me when I was younger. Father had me trained ever so early at age 8 but not by him of course. He had appointed a few Beta's to teach me how to defend myself. The boys had reminded me that I too should follow my father's footsteps for he has made me the man I am today.

My eyes drifted away from the cheery children on to the blonde standing in the terrace with his back to me. His right hand resting on the slight rusty fence in front of him. "Peacemaker Ruben" I called. Ruben turned to face me as if startled by my voice. "I have an order for you" I said. Ruben nodded as if he knew what I was about to say. "Yes Alpha?" he answered. "I would like for you to train the younger cubs. I want them to be trained early in case of future situations" I ordered. Ruben furrowed his eyebrows.

"May I ask why the hurry to take this action" he declared. "Haven't I already explained? My father spent his life for this pack and to get where it is today. Sacrifices are made for the benefit of the people. You should know that by now" I answered. "I don't think that is the reason for your decision Alpha" he explained. "Then what may the real reason be peacemaker?" I asked. "Alex" he murmured. My heart stopped. That name echoed in my mind. I let out an agitated cough "On the contrary, I am doing as my father had done to us. Keep in mind Ruben I am the Alpha and you shall obey me. Do as I say. Do not make me kick you out of this pack for this negligible reason!" I ordered, my tone had darkened as if a force had took over instantly without any further hesitation. He was submissive to my order and was soon dismissed from my sight.
