I woke up from a random clanging noise . It was a loud noise, and came from near me. I rubbed my eyes and rolled over to my side. My bed felt so soft. I didn't want to leave it at all.
The clanging noise continued to blast near me. As if signalling me to get up but I wanted to ignore it at all cost.
I let out an agitated groan and got up. The noise was coming from my window. Someone was throwing stones on it. I gazed out of the window. And saw Brooke there, motioning me to come down. I opened my window.
She wore a creme coloured sweater, over light coloured jeans. She looks pretty in comparison to a bedhead like me, but her outfit was too girly for my liking. Her blonde hair was wavy and on her shoulders, and her blue eyes sparkling against her light makeup.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
Brooke's attention quickly turned to where I was and she sent me a small smile.
"Alex, quickly get dressed, we are going to tell Chase about this" She ordered with a serious expression on her face.
"Are you insane!" I snapped.
"Just go Alex, you can't just leave it at that. And who knows it might turn out well. Now get dressed you look like a mess" She stated with a disgusted face.
"Tell me something I don't know" I sneered.
A small smile crept on her face as she watched me close the window and walk out of sight.
I took out a black batman sweater, some jeans and a beanie, my hair is to messy to fix.
After I had freshened up, I hastilly slipped on my clothes. I gave my hair a little brush on the edges, then decided to skip breakfast.
Dad was sound asleep, so I had to tiptoe with my bow and arrow out of the corrider. It'll be a little hard, because the floorboards make a hell of a noise.
I tiptoed on the side. Making sure not to step on the middle of the floor, otherwise it'll make a big creaky sound and with my luck, wake dad.
Finally, ending up a the top of the stairs. I slid down the hand railing, and smoothly landed on my feet at the end.
I don't regret taking gymnastics.
I put a note on the side of the kitchen counter, stating that I was out with a friend doing something important and will be back later
I opened the door and snatched the keys from the side making sure I don't trip on the ankle-height table in the corner.
Brooke saw me then pulled my hand so we can get into the wood quicker.
I was actually glad Brooke came. I didn't want to goto the wood alone, not after what happened yesterday. I regret so much.
"How are we going to do this?" I asked, with furrowing eyebrows.
"My brother is understanding, don't worry" She reassured while sqeezing my shoulder.
"I would hate going through this wood alone, after what happened yesterday" I muttered while shaking my head.
"If I were you, I would too" She answered with understanding in her small blue eyes.
"Sometimes I wish had just got the 'wolf gene' so I could have ripped his throat out" I sighed.
"you know, it's not always rainbows and sunshine for us, we are cursed to keeping our kind a secret, and the dangers if someone knew about us are high. Like them poachers and scientists wanting to study us or kill us, we are basically under threat" She muttered.
