Alex
"Ow!" I whimpered. I let out a groan as I got up from the hard, cold floor. Once again my dreams ended in me faceplanting the floor painfully.I had fallen off my bed atleast twice now, and I'm not enjoying it one bit. I rubbed my sore face .
Silently, I walked to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. Yesterday was weird.
I starred at myself in the mirror. Looking closely at myself. Everything feels weird. After I had freshened up, I plunged back in bed and slipped into my deep thoughts. Again memorizing what happened last night. I just have to solve this myself. I'm going back to woods.
"You're just overreacting. Just play like it never happened. It means nothing." I reassured myself.I took out a random T-shirt and jeans and slipped them on without any hesitation. My eyes searched the room for my hair brush.Sighing in relief as I found the brush hidden deep underneath my bed. After I retrieved it I started brushing my hair until it was smooth and didn't look like a hairy mess.
When I was finally done. I ran downstairs and sat on the soft couch stretching my legs outwards.
I decided to skip breakfast. I wasn't very hungry. So I swiped my red cloak and went outside. The warm air hit me, brushing off loose strands off my face as I locked the door.I smiled at the scene. Light peeking through trees. The warm sun. The whole aroma was so peaceful. If I had a choice I would rather stay inside but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find nature beautiful.
The only place In the woods I knew of, was near the clawed tree. Which I think is part of Hunter's territory. If I cross there he might show up so I should just not stop there at all.
I entered the large forest. It's features calmed me. Somehow like it's my own. It's strange how I never see birds or any type of wildlife here apart from the wolves of course. Which also maybe the reason why I'm attached to it. Something tells me there is more to these woods, than they seem.
It's like a book just waiting to be read. I walked closer. I could see the tree in sight. The exact way I had last seen it. But my aim was to quickly walk past it without attracting Hunter. I was almost past the tree."Well, well" Hunter smirked while walking out of the darkness. I had stopped in my tracks. Cursing under my breath. "Hello" he greeted devilishly while leaning against the clawed tree. I refused to answer him."A simple hello would be nice. Have you not learned manners before?" He pointed out. "I don't wish to communicate with you. So if you excuse me" I replied and stepped forward but Hunter blocked my way of escape.
"You are new here so I'll let you off. But you should know." he explained. He pointed to the tree. "That claw mark. Means my territory. Meaning stay out" He warned. "You don't need to explain to me. I'll be gone don't you worry" I snapped. Just then a figure emerged from the depths of the trees. As Hunter he was too blessed with the looks of a Greek god. Perfectly moulded in to shape. He had a longer jawline and looked far more innocent and timid in comparison to Hunter's dominant looks. He bowed his head with respect at Hunter, I watched curiously as Hunter nodded. Is this how all wolves greet each other? He gave me a small glance with disinterest then looked back at Hunter. Dear god save me from these voluptous creatures.
I took the chance to bail out of there before any further awkward situations. However I heard Hunter call the other wolf Daniel. Which would obviously be his name. It's weird how peoples names perfectly suit them. As if their parents knew exactly how their child would turn out. Therefore naming their children best suited to their personality.
My heart repeatedly pounded against my chest as I exhaled and inhaled. My chest rising and relaxing rapidly. I looked behind, I can't risk being chased by that no good wolf. He seems odd yet strangely dominant and powerful. I continued turning around until I hit something hard which caused me to fly backwards and fall on my butt. Keep in mind reader butt bruises are incredibly painful.
"Chase?" I said but it came out more like a question. It kind of went awkward from there. Probably because I dashed into him. Which was quite funny but not for me. He looked down at me with concern. "Are you alright?" He asked, He put out his hand for me to grip. Can you think of a more unpleasing greeting than bumping into each other and ending up with a bruise on your butt? "I'm alright" I assured. "Are you hurt?" He continued blowing questions at me. "I'm fine Chase" I once again assured."Why were you running?" He asked with over exaggerated concern.
Of course the good person did not want him to worry about Hunter's 'little' visit. "Oh, I just like running and didn't look where I was going" I explained.e had a very hard chest, my chest was still paining from bumping into him.Just then a pretty blonde came bouncing towards Chase. She gave me a warm smile. Already I could tell she has a nice personality. "This is Brooke. My younger sister" He introduced. "So this must be the great Alex Chase keeps talking about" She cheekily. Already I could see Chase's face lit up with embarrassment. He glared at his younger sister.Chase had walked away from the embarrassment and left me and Brooke alone. "So what happened last time?" she asked, while wriggling her eyebrows. I can tell she liked talking about relationships etc. "You heard?" I asked. "Every detail" she chuckled, throwing her head back. She had really angelic features in comparison to her loud personality.
Her light blue eyes glow with excitement with her small button nose and bright pink lips with light dimples on each side. She had a slim figure and wore an oversized sweater on plain jeans. Her blonde curly locks on her shoulders. "My brother likes you, he talks about you all the time" she explained. "Where are the others?" I asked. "Oh inside, have you met them before?" She asked. "Uh yeah" I answered and walked into their house.
Already greeted by Tyler and David. I would prefer Damien not being here, he obviously does not like me and I would not wish to see the hatred in his eyes every time I see him. Tyler and David welcomed as if I was their family. I was lucky that the demon who look like a ken doll wasn't around to scowl at me all the time. It makes me nervous just being looked at by Damien. I shuddered at the thought.
All was well.Until Damien walked in. He glared at me as if I killed his hamster. "Her again?" He snapped. He angrily looked at Chase. "Chase, she is human. How can we trust her with our lives? She might have phoned about us as we speak and yet you let her in our own home?"He continued throwing offensive questions. I could see he didn't like me. But hatred to that extent to someone you don't even know is unreasonable. I listened silently to his continuous rants and complaints. He has quite the imagination.
"Enough!" Chase yelled. In a voice I was not familiar with. For a second I thought It wasn't Chase who was talking. This sudden yell sounded much dominant and fierce. I could see how this order made Damien slightly vulnerable and it surprisingly shut him up. "I have had enough with your continuous rants about Alex being untrustworthy" He yelled once more. I watched closely. Stunned at the once calm Chase to a sudden outburst of dominance.
"Well, I won't hesitate to say I told you so. After she gets us all killed" he snapped and walked off in to the room he came from. He slammed the door so hard that it made the shelves in the kitchen shake. Tyler gave me a sympathetic look from afar.
After Chase's anger had settled down he was quite for a long time probably thinking to himself but soon he did come up to me. "Alex, can we talk outside?" He asked politely.
I nodded and walked out with him. We had entered the wood again. "I would like to apologize, for what happened earlier." He said. "Damien is just a bit cautious, that's all" He explained. "You don't need to explain. I understand" I answered. "But that's not what I called you here for" he admitted. I looked at him questioningly. "Will you be mine?" He asked nervously. I was Surprised at first for that sudden question but I said yes.I know it's a bit early for a boyfriend, him being a wolf and all, but I'll be honest with you readers. I did like him and all however, I was more interested in the wolf side of him than you know...him.
