Chapter 36: Wedding reception

Heidi's POV

I get here just in time for the wedding party to be announced, "First up we have Carlos and Jane." Christyn announces and Carlos and Jane walk out taking their seats, "Next is Cory is with Lonnie." I can see the awkwardness on their faces giving that both of them came with someone else, but they put on a fake smile and walk out, "Give it up for Herkie is with Heidi." Herkie comes up next to me and smiles down at me, "You think this is just a coincidence, two families are related but for some reason hate each other." I crack a smile at him, "I don't hate you, just keep your hands where Harry can see them and everything will be fine." Herkie sticks his arm out for me to take, I take his arms as we walk out hearing people clapping and making other noises. Right as Herkie and I take out spots I hear Christyn introducing the next pair, "Welcome the maid of honor Evie, and the best man Doug." Evie and Doug walk out looking just as in love as Mal and Ben looked at the church. Evie and Doug take their place leaving only two more chairs left, "Everyone please stand up and show respect to the King and Queen of Auradon, King Benjamin and Queen Mal." As Mal and Ben walk out all of us bow to them. Ben and Mal sit down at the table, "I would like to thank everyone for coming today, I know there are some of you that might think that I am making a mistake, but I have been taught to listen to my heart and ever since Mal walked out of that limo my heart told me she is the one more me, and I can't imagine myself with anyone else." Everyone claps as the two share a very sweet kiss. The party of going off like the whole incident at the wedding never happened, everyone is laughing, eating, and having a blast. I feel arms wrap around my waist, "Guess who?" a voice says in my ear, I laugh because I would know that voice anywhere. "I am not sure who it might be?" I turn around to see a pair of blue eyes sparking down at me, "Look at that I was right." I place a kiss on his lips, "Listen up everyone." All of us stop what we are doing and turn our attention to Christyn, "It is time for the bride and groom to share their first dance as husband and wife." Ben takes Mal hand leading her to the middle of the dance floor, Ben bows to Mal and Mal bows back, and suddenly I see Laurel and Cory on stage as Cory starts playing his guitar

{The way Laurel looks at Cory as she sings makes me think that she feelings for him.}

Cory: Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets To carry love, to carry children of our own We are still kids, but we're so in love Fighting against all odds I know we'll be alright this time Darling, just hold my hand Be my girl, I'll be your man I see my future in your eyes Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful I don't deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonight. {Cory takes Laurel's hand making them look at each other.}

Laurel and Cory: Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song I have faith in what I see Now I know I have met an angel in person And she looks perfect I don't deserve this You look perfect tonight. {As the song comes to an end Cory pulls Laurel closer to him and what shocks everyone Cory places a very romantic kiss on Laurel.}

All of us clap as Mal and Ben kiss and other couples make their way to the dance floor. It was getting late judging by the sound of the clock loudly ringing 12 times telling me it was midnight, "You ready to go love?" I tilt my head up to see Harry standing behind me, "I am bene ready go for some time now." I stand up and Harry takes my hand leading me out of the room. Right as the two of step outside the cold air of the night hits me causing me shiver, "Here you go love, I can't let my princess freeze." Harry places his suit jacket on me, "Do you mind if we stay in your room tonight?" Harry gives a weird look, "We?" I place my hands on my stomach, "I wouldn't have it any other way." Harry and I kiss and the feeling of sparks still gets to me, "Hold on, before we go anywhere I am taking these off, my feet are killing me." I take my heels off, suddenly I am scooped into Harry's arms, "You don't have to carry me." Harry smiles a sly but yet sweet smile at me, "I want to." I snuggle into Harry as much as I can while he carries me all the way to his room.
