Chapter 18

~Alexis Kinley~

His lips are soft and gentle on mine. Time stood still as our lips moved together. I could feel him smiling which made me smile too.

The warmth of his mouth sent a current running through my body as I looped my arms around his neck.

My hands go up his head enjoying the texture of his hair against my palms giving me tingly sensations, the same that spread to the rest of my body making me feel all bubbly inside.

Our kiss ends naturally and we look into each other's eyes.

"Better than I ever imagined." Niall says softly and I feel my cheeks burning.

"I love it when you blush, you look even cuter." He adds later on.

"You have a talent to make me blush" I say and his grin is proud. "It's not a compliment."

"I'm taking it as one." I laugh and shake my head hopelessly.

"Niall" I call him in a whisper.

"Hmm"

"I really like you" I tell him and he laughs.

It's not a humorous laugh like when someone tell you a really good joke. It's the kind of laugh you have when you are really happy, when someone tells you something that you've been waiting to hear.

He hugs me even tighter and his lips are on mine once again.

Niall is holding my hand by the time we are back home. The rest of our date was just perfect. We talked about so many things, we cuddled next to the fire, and we listened to some music, we, of course, kissed.

It's not really late and I'm sure the boys and Ella are still awake, just waiting for us to know how the date went. Probably they're going to be so happy to know that everything was perfect and now Niall and I are together. He didn't really ask and I don't think he needed to ask. It was perfectly clear.

I'm about to open the door when I just abruptly stop in my tracks causing Niall to bump into me.

"Something wrong?" Niall asks.

"I just don't want this day to end." I confess.

"But we can repeat this right?" I ask nervously.

"Of course. And the day is not over yet." Niall says.

"What...What do you mean?" I ask.

"Come with me." Niall says and takes my hand.

Niall takes my hand and he leads me to the backyard of the house. The backyard is all lighted and there stands Niall in the center.

"What's all this?" I ask taking notice of everything in the backyard.

"Alex... remember when I told you that I want you. Just you. That's because I like you, only you, I like you for who you are." Niall says and I nod a little remembering they day he told me that.

"You captivated me from the very first word, Alex. Since then you've showed me, you've shown us how caring, how thoughtful you are. Hell you and Ella even saved us that day in the eating contest! All that is what makes you incredible, Alex."

"I uh...uh.." I mumble my voice shaky and he chuckles slightly.

"So Alex... would you like to be my girlfriend?" Niall asks.

Without fear,

without hesitation,

without afraid of falling...

"I'd love to" I say placing my lips on his.

Who would've known that by the end of the day I was going to be Niall's girlfriend?

I kiss Niall goodnight and when I enter my room, Ella is asleep on the bed.

I walk over to my wardrobe and grab a tank top and some shorts. I hear snickering behind me. I turn around to see Ella still sleeping. This is one of her pranks again!

"I know you're awake Ella" I say.

"Oh damn!" Ella says getting up.

"You're never going to be able to prank me" I say and she rolls her eyes.

"Anyway how'd it go?" she asks and I know I'm wearing this stupid grin on my face. "Wait a minute, I know that smile. He asked you to be his girlfriend right?" she asks and I nod smiling like an idiot.

~Niall Horan~

I kiss Alex goodnight and turn to open the door of my room.

When I open the door of my room I don't only find Harry but the other lads gathered there watching a movie on the laptop, a lot of food around and many drinks. They didn't even notice my presence there, they're too into the movie they are watching so I have to clear my throat really loudly for them to hear me. Louis is the first to turn around so when he sees me he practically jumps off of the bed and comes running to me.

"How'd it go?" Louis asks.

"Um, what are you all doing here?" I question instead of answering Louis. "When I left, Harry was the only one here." I add later.

Harry stands up and comes to me with a condescending smile. "We might have had a movie night without you." He hurries.

How can they have a movie night without me??

"That's not the point Horan, we're here because we care."

I stare at all of them not buying their story for a minute.

"Okay I give up. We're just curious. Okay? We wanted to know how the date went. We thought it would be a good idea to wait for you in case you needed someone to cheer you up if she rejected you." Liam explain and that makes so much more sense.

"Well for your information, it went great, more than great." I reply and I know I'm wearing this stupid grin.

It was the perfect date. Everything that happened was perfect and without a doubt, Alex is amazing. All of a sudden, I feel my heart racing again and the world around seems to fade, I can only think if her.

"Woah!" Zayn exclaims. "Look at you! You've fallen hard mate." Zayn carries on and I feel my cheeks burning.

"C'mon tell us!" Louis insists.

"You'll only need to know that it went great and that Alex is my girlfriend now." I say.

"Girlfriend!" Liam exclaims.

"Yes my girlfriend." I say.

"Way to go. Well done mate" Harry congratulates me.

Soon I feel all the lads patting my back and talking at the same time, they mostly congratulate me.

I'm just lucky that she feels the same way that a girl as wonderful as Alex likes me back!
