Chapter 22

"Last night think we were dancing, singing all our favorite songs. Think I might have kissed someone and if tomorrow never comes, we had last night!" I sang as I jumped on Ella's bed.

We had reached home about few days ago and Ella has been sick ever since. Well not really sick but she's on her period.

I was just singing a song that I didn't know where I had heard but I just wanted to make her laugh and nothing did that better than me singing out of pitch whilst dancing around.

She opened her eyes and groaned but I didn't let her go back to sleep, I kept singing and jumping on her bed, making up new great moves.

"C'mon wake up!" I sang for my best friend and I heard her still moaning. "I just did a bunch of online shopping for you." I tempted her and she sat up immediately.

"Really?" she asked with big eyes.

"You'll have them by tomorrow" I say. "Now get up because we have to meet the boys in 1 hour."

Ella ran to the bathroom and I stayed there in her bed until my phone buzzed and I went to pick it up. I got a text from Niall.

Morning, love. How's Ella feeling?

I smiled as I typed back an answer.

Morning :) she seems ok. I told her I did a bunch of online shopping and she's over the moon right now!

I dropped my phone on the nightstand and stayed there in bed waiting for Ella to get out of the bathroom.

"So where are we going?" Ella asks as she exits the bathroom.

"Niall's place." I say.

I was ready, I just had to put on some makeup. I didn't like much makeup though, a minimal amount was fine.

I had just texted Alex a few minutes ago and she said she was on the way with Ella. Ella has been sick for a few days now. We invited them over so we could get their mind off stuff.

The lads and I were just having a normal conversation when I heard a knock on the door. I walked towards it slowly. At the other side it was Ella and Alex with her oh-so-cute smile and her eyes shining happily.

"Hey guys!" I say as they enter the apartment. I give Alex a hug, quickly stealing a kiss.

"Ella you look lovely today." Harry says just to keep her mind off stuff. We're all trying to help her even though we don't know what the problem is.

"Liar! But I appreciate the gesture." She says.

"Girl problems. It can be pretty bad for her." Alex whispers in my ear.

"Too much information!" I say and Alex laughs while following me towards the living room.

We had all decided to watch a movie.

Half way through the movie, I was more entertained nudging my nose in Alex's neck tickling her. I had my arms around her waist and she was almost sitting on my lap, but weirdly as it might sound, it was quite comfortable.

From the looks on everyone's faces this movie was boring.

"Hey!" Ella said earning everyone's attention.

"I know this movie is shit boring and I know all of you agree with me. So, instead of watching this can we go out and have some Ben and Jerry's ice cream please?" She asks adorably like a three year old.

"Weird cravings." Alex mutters to herself.

"So Alex what would you like to have?" I ask her as the boys were deciding their own flavors. Before she could reply Ella pulls her to the side.

"Excuse me." Alex says.

Ella takes Alex to a corner in the shop. They seem to be talking about something serious, constantly eyeing the entrance of the shop.

As all of us get our ice creams we start to walk out of the shop. We grabbed two extras for Ella and Alex as well.

"Umm... guys I think we should get going." Alex says as if she is tensed about something.

"Yeah okay c'mon." Liam says.

"Why don't you guys walk in front of us?" Ella says.

"Umm... Alex is something wrong?" I ask her as I go by her side.

"No..." she says look around. "Someone's here. Just please walk ahead of us." She says pushing me forward with the rest of the lads while Ella and Alex trail behind us.

I catch up with Liam.

"Hey Niall is something wrong?" Liam asks.

"I think so." I say glancing back at Alex and Ella. They are constantly keeping an eye on everything around us.

The lads and I just continue to walk forward when suddenly we hear groaning and I immediately turned to see a man on the ground and Ella in a punching position as if she just knocked him down.

I see another man approaching and Alex swung back around and gave him a fast and powerful kick in the ribs, he howled in torment but still raced towards her. She gave him a sharp punch in his jaw. He stared at the river of blood that poured from his mouth and collapsed.

"Get in the car quick!" Ella says.

Alex grabs my arm and starts running. It was too much for me to take in that I couldn't feel my legs, but when Alex grabbed my whole mind started processing again as I started running with her.

I look to my left to see her beautiful face all tensed, her hair blowing with the wind. It was like nothing else mattered right now, it was just us two. I don't think I've ever felt this way about anyone. I think I might actually be falling hard for her.
