uNeDiTeD and he's a cute bumble bee^^
Your POV
a lot of people never really enjoy high school, at all actually. it stresses the hell out of them, they seem to never focus straight there even though their supposed to be, and people never get along with the teachers because they don't seem to bother following the policy of caring for every student as one. anxiety was born there, stress, negativity, drama, confusion. its normal to not seem to be able to enjoy the thought of going to the same location seven hours a day for five days a week.kind of the same thing for me, i still attempt to find the most of each minute of it.
then there's ethan, a boy who everyone pretty much knows...but only his name. they don't seem to bother getting to know him because all they see when they find him is in the library; his jaw clenched tight as he focuses carefully on the book in front of him that's as thick as a math textbook. his glasses slip down gradually from his nose until he pinches it back up to a comfortable position on the bridge of it. his hair would be neat, put up in a quiff most days, other days in a beanie, and he would have chocolate brown strands pop out of the beanie like wings. his lips shiny with chapstick, also by licking his lips often. basically i'm saying he's too cute to not be noticed.
but he's quiet to where it's easy to not notice him. he would walk up to a person and he would just mumble shyly, barely audible but the person that he goes up to wouldn't care, they would just leave ethan alone because they believe he's nothing but a boy trapped in a library like it were his home.
one of high school biggest problems would be isolation. ethan is accidentally left trapped in this bubble that no one bothers to pop, just by talking to him, but he avoids it like it were a normal. a normal that isn't a type of normal in my perspective.
i've seen almost every single guy in this school, and no one ever caught my eye so quick the first time i met them than ethan. i've seen him, politely speaking to others, picking up things for people when they drop their items, and he holds this loose smile that's just a new way to welcome you. his atmosphere is bright, positive, his mind holds success, his heart holds optimism. but no one sees this beautiful person that way.
today i found him at the library, in a beanie barely covering his growing wings. his eyes were laced on the book like he's taken into the story's world.
"i hear your taking the debate club," a teacher said walking up to him. he hesitated before looking up, but caught the teachers eyes. "yeah, i heard your team needed new recruits."
"it's a small group of kids, was debate a small hobby?" she says.
"not really, but i'm willing to make it one," he says. "when's the first meeting?"
"next week wednesday," and that's all i heard before i kind of thought it was weird stalking their conversation.
i pull out a few books from the bookshelf, not even noticing the title since i'm too distracted by who's here.
i pull out one. "that's a good book," the familiar voice i hear next to me, making my body jump. he stutters, "oh sorry did i scare you."
i meet his beautiful brown soft eyes overlapped by his wide glasses. he peers at me, waiting for a single word out of my breathless mouth. his pink curvy lips curl into a toothless smile that makes my heart vibrate in my ears. "yeah i'm fine. this book?"
"yeah, i read it a few weeks ago, i don't want to spoil it but it's one of my favorites," he says looking surprisingly excited and talkative. i feel like maybe something he likes doing is what he enjoys talking about.
