Chapter 6

It was soon lunch and I headed off to the locker room with Carter who also had baseball practice, we walked in and got changed into our kits before putting our hair up in cute ponytails and taking a selfie, I tweeted it before heading out onto the field.

Baseball practice went quite fast as did last lesson which meant it was now time for some cheerleading, I walked up to the locker room and got changed with Stacey who was also on the team, I straightened out my blue and white skirt and tied my bow around my curled ponytail, I put on my white sneakers, grabbed my pom-poms and waited for the coach to come in.

A couple minutes later she did and she basically gave us all a pep talk, we walked out and sat waiting until half time, which unfortunately came very soon. I looked out into the crowd and saw Marissa, Allie, Ray and Bea sitting there, I smiled and waved a little at them, they spotted me and waved back.

I did my routine and so far so good, all my flips have gone good so far but now it's time to end it with the biggest dangerous flip, I got into position and could feel the nerves piling in, I just then noticed that Riss had her phone out filming the whole thing as did Bea, I refocused and got ready to be launched, a few seconds later I was in the air, I did everything perfectly and landed spot on, I nailed it. Yes!

The crowd cheered and we went back into the locker room, all the girls were cheering and I got lots of congrats and well done's, plus a giant squeeze form Stacey. I smiled and quickly said bye to all the girls and congratulated them on tonight before running to find Josh, he luckily hadn't gone back on to the field yet, he saw me coming up and smiled, I walked over and put my arms around his neck, he put his round my waist and we shared a soft yet passionate kiss.

His coach blew his whistle meaning he had to go "listen babe, I gotta go but i'll see you after yeah?" "yeah, good luck baby I know you'll carry on being great for the rest of the game" he smiled and kissed me again before putting on his helmet and running on to the field "be careful!" I screamed he looked over his shoulder and smiled at me. I turned around and started walking into the bleaches I sat down in between Riss and Allie, Bea then swapped with Allie so she was now sitting next to me.

"That was fucking awesome!" Bea told me I smiled and looked down realising I was blushing, she noticed, smiled and then pinched my cheeks causing me to brighten further. "Leah that was so fucking good, I'm sure your mom would've been very proud and she will be when I send her the video ok?" "yeah it just sucks she couldn't come, I mean I know she has work and everything but she promised and she said she cleared up and everything just for this but whatever" "awh babe" Riss said pulling me in for a side hug, I rested my head on her shoulder as Bea put her arm round my shoulder and laid her head in my shoulder, Allie saw what was going on and put her arm round Bea and her head on Bea's shoulder, Ray then copying Allie.

I bet we looked well cute Riss then spoke up "excuse me?" she said as she tapped the person in front of her "could you take a picture of us?" he looked at us smiled and nodded taking Riss's phone off before positioning himself and taking the photo, he gave Riss back her phone she thanked him and then from what I'm guessing tweeted the picture and sent it to my mom. "So who's the boy?" Riss asked "huh?" "Oh you know the one you were just kissing down there" "you saw that?" "yep so who is he?" "Josh, my boyfriend"

"Awh my baby has a boyfriend! he best be treating you right cause if he don't you better tell me yeah?" "yeah yeah Riss I got it, but I don't need the talk ok?" she laughed and nodded before looking back at the field.

After the game had finished I said goodbye to Josh with a sweet kiss, congratulated him then we headed home, when I got home it was about 5 so I got changed into some sweat pants and walked downstairs, I grabbed a bag of chips from the pantry and headed upstairs switching my TV on, I flicked through the channels until I found something good to watch, I sat there eating my chips until half 5 when I got up, washed my hands and got ready for work, Rissa was staying til 9 to look after Allie and Ray cause that's when mom supposedly gets back.

I left the house after saying a goodnight to everyone knowing they wouldn't be awake or here when I got back, I made sure I had my phone and headed to Bea's, she came out and we walked to work repeating the same old shift again.

After finishing work, I headed home saying bye to Bea when we reached her house, I continued walking down the street and into my house. I took my shoes off at the door, picked them up and walked to the stairs and before I could climb them I was stopped by a voice "Leah? is that you?" I placed my shoes on the floor and walked into the lounge "yeah it's me" "Rissa sent me that video of your cheerleading, baby you did amazing"

"Thanks, but it would've been better in real life, but that doesn't matter does it because work is more important than i'll ever be!" I said getting louder with each word, I turned around before my mom had a chance to reply and ran over to the stairs, picked up my shoes and climbed the stairs as fast I could.

Once at the top of the stairs I walked down the hall quite quickly until I got to my room then entered and shut the door, usually I would've slammed it but I don't wanna wake up Allie or Ray. I quickly got changed and dived under the covers, I was nearly asleep when my phone lit up, I picked it up and saw that Riss had tweeted. I opened the link and the tweet came up, it read:

Not only has she tweeted the photo of all of us after the cheer but she'd also posted the video of my stunts, she posted it on youtube! oh well, I had to tweet her back tho

I pressed tweet, put my phone on the side and fell asleep with a smile on my face, thanks to Rissa not my mom, but Rissa.
