We neared the water and mom was hot on my tail, I reached the water a second before her and she is obviously a sore loser, she picked me up and held me above the water "mom no please don't" I barely got it out before I felt my body engulfed in water. She had chucked me in, brilliant.
I lifted my head out and stood up, soaking wet. "mom!" I screamed before pushing her over, she landed in the water causing us all to giggle. she got out the water looking like a drowned rat which only fuelled our latter even more.
We stayed on the beach for what felt like minutes but it obviously wasn't as the sun started to set, none of us made an attempt to move off of the golden sand we were now laying on, we had come out of the water a while ago, we all just lay there looking at the sun as it said its goodbyes and the moon and stars arose from their peaceful sleep. it was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful.

No one said a word as the night sky got darker and darker, mom checked her phone for the time and started to pack away "guys it's 1 am, you've all got school tomorrow and I have work" "mom, mom relax, its Saturday you don't have work tomorrow remember? And we don't have school for another day so just relax and enjoy the view" "I would love to but Leah you have work tomorrow we'll this morning at 9:30am" i looked at her confused "what no I don't? My shift at the café doesn't start til 6 tonight?" "I'm not talking about the café Leah, I rang VS off of your phone telling them you'd take the job, you've got your first shoot or something tomorrow" my jaw dropped "you did?" As she nodded my smile grew and I squealed jumping up in the air and running over to give her a hug "I fucking love you" she chuckled "I love you too baby, but you need to get some sleep so shall we go?" I nodded yawning as I suddenly felt extremely tired, we packed up got in the car and left the beach.
