Chapter 15

"Iggy as much as I love you, please move" she just stood there in the door way her arms crossed across her chest "Iggy I'm being serious move!" I said slightly annoyed, again she just stood there, shaking her head no "fine what do you want?" as soon as I said that she grabbed my wrist and pulled me out the room, she took me into the basement "What the hell? why are we down here and what do you want?"

"We need to talk" she said in monotone with yet a serious expression on her face, eyebrows raised. "why?" "it's about Josh, you're 14 years old Leah" "oh my god! no I am not having this conversation, not with you, not with anybody" I replied pretty annoyed "yes you do! and you're gonna have it right here with me" "No I'm not! you're not my mother! I wouldn't even have this conversation with her let alone you so just.." "just what?" "just leave me the fuck alone!"

I said before running up the stairs and leaving the basement. I was so annoyed, who does she think she is to even think that that was gonna happen, no way. I ran into the kitchen and got a glass out of the cupboard I filled it with diet coke and was about to leave "LEAH!" I dropped the glass, the shards going everywhere and the coke spilled all over the floor, I turned around to see Iggy "for god sake just leave me alone!" I said before turning around and running off.

Before I could get to far I slipped on the coke and landed funny on my leg and on all the bits of glass "AHH SHIT!" I screamed as loud as I could Iggy came running over and then everyone else came in. I looked down to see that my leg was twisted, and most definitely broken.

"Oh shit Leah what happened?" mom asked I looked at Iggy before saying "I was getting a glass of coke and iggy came in, she said my name but I didn't realise she was there and dropped the glass, I forgot about it and went to walk out but slipped and well you can see the rest" I barely got out screaming in pain.

Everyone just stood there, mouths open in shock "Someone call a fricken ambulance for fuck sake!" my mom snapped out of her trance and grabbed her phone instantly calling 9-1-1. She finished the conversation and put her phone back in her pocket "they'll be here in 5-10 minutes babe" she said before crouching down and stroking the side of my face "I'm gonna clear up all the glass around you ok?" I just nodded as I clenched my teeth in agony.

She got out a dustpan and brush and swept up all the glass before chucking it in the bin, she then wiped up the coke and dried the floor with a towel. "Allie, Ray you guys go and watch some TV I don't want you to see this" they nodded still in shock tears rolling down Allie's face, I noticed and just as they were about to leave "Allie?" she turned to look at me "i'll be alright ok? I love you babe, calm down, relax and stay strong for me, mom and Ray yeah?" she nodded another tear coming down her face.

I motioned her over "don't look at my leg, look at me, at my face ok, look me in my eyes" she nodded and did so, before crouching down to be face to face with me,I wiped away her tears and kissed her forehead before giving her a hug, well as best as I could considering the circumstances "right now go play with Ray, make her happy and forget about this ok?"

She nodded before running out "don't forget to smile" I called to her just loud enough for her to hear me. "Iggy?" "Yeah babe?" "I'm sorry" she smiled before crouching down and hugged me, she kissed me on the top of my head and wiped my tears before saying that she was sorry too and how this was all her fault. Just as she pulled away we heard sirens, mom went to go answer the door and soon enough the paramedics were by my side assessing my leg.

Mom got everyone to go into the room with Ray and Allie, all except her, Iggy, Rissa and Bea. I was put on a stretcher and took out to the ambulance, mom came with me in the back and we made our way to the hospital.

We arrived at the hospital in 6 minutes flat, the sirens blaring and flashing away getting us there faster. Once we arrived I was wheeled into the children's hospital and into ICU I guess it was a bad break. "hi honey what's your name?" "Leah" "alright Leah well it looks like you've broken your leg so we're gonna get you to x-Ray as soon as it's free ok?" I nodded.

A couple minutes later, my mom sat next to me holding my hand, the x-Ray was free, I was put in a wheelchair and wheeled down the corridors, my mom was told to wait outside while it was done.

The x-Ray was done and we soon got the results, I had completely shattered my fibula and snapped my tibia in half which meant I had to have a cast in for 8-12 weeks and I had to have crutches. We went into a little room and my leg was propped up, luckily my legs were shaved and my toes painted. The doctor then wrapped my leg up in a cast and asked me what colour I wanted it to be on top. It was out if pastel green, blue, pink or orange or neon green, blue and hot pink, purple, red, orange or yellow.

I eventually decided on hot pink and it was soon done, I was given crutches and had to practice walking in them for a few minutes which I did easily cause Blue broke her leg once and whenever she was standing against something or sitting down I'd go on them and now I'm a pro.

I was then discharged and we got Rissa to pick us up, being as we came in an ambulance. She came and I got in the back seat with my leg on the other seats and mom got in the front, I put my belt on and we made our way home.
