Chapter 25

After about 10 minutes I decided to go check in her, I opened the door slowly and my mouth and heart dropped.

There sat in the floor was mom, her wrists covered, a bloody blade in her hand and a pool of her own blood on the floor, her eyes closed and her back leant against the wall.

"IGGY!!" I screamed as loud as I could, she came running in and her mouth dropped, I let a tear roll down my face, "call an ambulance please" I said, knowing that I'd be better in a situation like this being as Iggy didn't like blood.

I opened the cabinet and pulled out some towels, I applied one to each wrist and put pressure on them, I lifted her chin up to clear her airway and put my head on her heart, there was still a best but it was weak, I shook her shoulders "mom can you hear me?" I questioned loudly, no response, I kissed my mom on the head and whispered in her ear "I didn't mean it I promise, I love you more than anything in the world" before I broke down crying "I'm sorry" I whispered as the paramedics came in, they put her on a stretcher being as she was unconscious and started to lead her out whilst asking me questions

Once we were downstairs and mom was in the ambulance, I hopped in the back, Iggy stayed with Allie and Ray, I told her I'd call her when I found something out and she said she'd come down later with Allie and Ray. The man sat in the back of the ambulance was doing all the necessary things to try and save my moms life, he put her on oxygen and applied pressure to her arms.

"Did you find your mom?" I nodded as a tear came with my answer "did you do all this?" he said gesturing to the towels and the answers I gave him about what they needed to know "yeah" I got out weakly "wow, how old are you?" "just turned 14" "wow that's incredibly young to know how to do all of that, have you ever done cpr?" I shook my head signifying no "well you did an amazing job, you should be proud, without you your mom wouldn't make it through this, but because of you she's gonna make it"

"She is?" I asked a lot more happily "yep, because of you, let that sink in, I noticed you had 2 little sisters?" "yeah Allie and Ray" "how old are they?" "Allie's 11 and Ray's 9" "if you didn't do wait you did today then those little sisters of yours would have no idea what happened, and you'd have to explain it to them, you should be so so proud of yourself" "thank you" "no thank you" "oh will you keep this on the down low please?" He nodded and opened the back doors as we arrived at the hospital, he stepped out and took my mom out the back "you should really consider being a nurse or doctor when you're older, you'd be great" he said as he was wheeling her in, me by her side.

We came to some doors "right your moms gonna need stitches and a little surgery so if you wait right there" he said pointing to some chairs "and then someone will come and get you when she's ready to visit okay sweetie?" I nodded "thank you" I said before walking over to the chairs and sitting down.
