Arianna's POV
After Taylor and Dean left, Sam went straight for a pile of books. He would scan them first and find the essentials than hand them off to me.
"So far we have covered ghouls, spirits, and wendigo," Sam says looking at me as I finish the last paragraph he had marked.
Surprisingly enough this wasn't too bad, minus the old language I had to cipher through. Plus it didn't hurt that Sam looked amazing when focused on something. My God, I sound like a creepy old woman. He can be distracting with those stupid cute dimples and gentle smile.
Yeah.
Next stop, creepy old woman-ville.
"That's good progress, right?" Mentally I was crossing my fingers hoping I was doing well.
"Very good actually but the real test is have you retained any of this," He says gesturing to the books before stacking them up.
"Test?" So this is where the high school part starts to feel more real.
"I'm just going to asks you a few questions."
I'm going to fail. Oh no. I'm going to look like a complete and utter idiot.
"First question; what do we use to fight against spirits?" He asks mimicking an announcer of some sort.
"Iron but also salt," I don't miss a beat on that question. The spirit section was easy enough to say the least.
"Good job. Second question; what is used to kill Ghouls?" He grins widely before continuing.
I grimace knowing the answer.
"Decapitation." My expression must be really funny considering Sam's loud laugh.
"Sorry, it's just you're hilariously disgusted." He is still laughing and it's spreads to me. It's not quite ground shaking or belly aching. It's more of a mutual feeling of joy.
"What has you kids busting a gut in here?" Bobby asks with a grin setting more books on the table.
"Decapitation!" I say still smiling and holding back giggles.
"I didn't know that was the hip thing these days," he says with a puzzled look on his face. Of course this made me laugh even more.
"Okay, what is next?" I asks curiously after sobering from the laughing fit.
"Vampires, werewolves, and maybe I could teach you part of the exorcism? That is, if you feel up for it," Sam says he with a small smile.
"Really? I love Latin!" That wasn't a lie, Taylor and I both thought Latin was interesting. It's one of the topics we bonded over.
"The exorcism it is," Sam replies looking pleased while gathering another set of books.
"So does th-" my words were cut off by the door opening followed by a rowdy Dean and Taylor.
"Oh I kicked your ass!" Taylor taunts as she walks in.
"Yeah right, keep dreaming Sweetheart," Dean retorts with a roll of his eyes.
"What happened?" I ask rather curious of what could have caused the rift.
"Dean can't believe that I kicked his ass, which I clearly did," She huffs crossing her arms.
"First of all, you won once and that was because my foot slipped."
"Foot slipped? I had you pinned in like sixty seconds buddy," She seethed poking a finger into his flannel covered chest.
