The next morning Lauren woke up early to go get her and Normani breakfast from Denny's because she wanted to surprise Normani with breakfast in bed.

"So why are you going with me again?" Dinah asked curiously.

Lauren shrugs "because I want breakfast." She said nonchalantly. Dinah rolls her eyes "are you sure this has nothing to do with Mani?" She asked with a knowing smirk. Lauren grinned a little "I mean she did say that she wanted someone to bring her breakfast in bed." She said with a shrug. Dinah chuckled "your crush on Mani is adorable!" She coos.

Lauren playfully rolled her eyes at the tattooed blonde. "Shut up! You're doing the same thing for Ally." She countered. Dinah smiled at the younger girl's name. "Oh hush Lauser! You do anything for the ones you love." She says. Lauren looked over at her "Dinah how did you and Ally meet?" She asked curiously. Dinah chuckles "we actually met through Mani," she started "Ally actually didn't like me very much at first. She thought that I was, in her words, too loose in my sexual activities. She didn't think me hooking up with random girls was lady like," she chuckles "in the kindest way possible I told her to fuck off and mind her own business." She paused for a second. "After that she left me alone and we didn't talk for a while. We didn't talk again Mani's birthday party," a smile grew on her face "since I was the only one there that Ally knew I decided to keep her company. As the night went on Ally and I got pretty close. Eventually the friendship that we had forming turned romantic pretty quick," she chuckles "the first time I asked Ally out she said no. So I waited a few weeks before asking again. She denied. So I gave up asking and just took her out." Dinah rolls her eyes and shook her head. "All though she would deny at the time I know she had a good time. After several more dates I asked, more so told, her to be my girlfriend. She of course said yes and we've been together for three years." She finished.

Lauren's eyes were wide as she looked at the blonde. "So she didn't like you at first but fell for you in the end? Sounds like such a cliché romantic comedy movie." Dinah chuckles at the description "maybe, but it's our story and I wouldn't change it for anything." She says. Lauren grinned at her "I'm glad."

Arriving at Denny's Lauren stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Liam and Clara. She was going to be sick. "It funny running into you here Lauren Michelle." Clara slurs. Lauren shakes her head in disappointment at the fact that her mother was drunk so early in the morning. "What are you guys doing here?" She asked coldly.

Liam smirks as he eyed her up and down. "We wanted to visit our daughter. See how college was treating you." He said. Lauren glares at him "I am not your daughter." She hissed. Without a warning a hard slap was sent to her face. "Do you dare talk to Liam like that you bitch!" Clara growled. Lauren just rolled her eyes and pushed past them to the front counter. Where she impatiently waited to be waited on.

"Lauser are you ok?" Dinah asked gently.

Lauren nods as she wiped her eyes "yeah I'm fine." She muttered. Dinah frowned at the obvious lie that Lauren just told. "Lo what's going on?" Lauren huffs because she knows Dinah's not going to let up. "Can I explain in the car?" She asked. Dinah nods "of course."

After getting their food the headed back to the dorms. "Now Lauser tell me what's wrong." Dinah says. Lauren sighed "I'm just really disappointed by my mother...and even though I hate to admit it but I'm so upset with Liam because he's supposed to help her get better and he's not! He's just letting her get drunk whenever the hell she wants and then when I actually try to help I get yelled at by both of them and told to mind my own business! So I stopped helping and ran away to college to get away from them. I just can't be around that or them. I'm surprised I'm not a drunk like my mother or a drug addict like Liam with the amount of stress that I have." She rants.

Dinah sighs "believe me I know exactly how you're feeling. I went through something similar with my dad. When my mother left him, he started drinking and getting high. He would go out late and come home smelling like sex and alcohol. I did everything I could to help him, get him help, but he did want it. No matter how hard I pushed he wouldn't listen to me and get the help he needed. He would just push me aside and run off to get drunk and high. It was horrible." She said. Lauren looks at her "did he ever get help?" She asked. "Yes but not after he overdosed. That was like a huge wake up call for him that he needed help and he got it." Dinah says.

Lauren nods "do you think that she'll ever want help?" Dinah shrugs "Lo I'm not sure. But what I am sure of is that you need to open her eyes and make her see how much this is hurting you." She says. Lauren nods "I just want my mom back."

Getting woken up by Lauren bring her breakfast in be had Normani all smiley and gitty because she honestly didn't think Lauren was the type to bring her partner breakfast in bed. She was so happy that she was wrong. Looking up at the green eyed beauty Normani smiled "thank you so much LoLo." She coos as she hugs Lauren tightly.

Lauren blushed as she hugged back. "You're welcome Manibear." She whispers softly as she enjoyed the hug. "So what made you want to do this?" Normani asked curiously. Lauren shrugs "I saw Dinah getting up to go get breakfast and I remembered what you said yesterday so I decided to tag along and get us breakfast." She says.

Normani's heart melted at what Lauren said and without thinking she pulled Lauren into her and pressed their lips together.
