Chapter 55: Gunjamen Franklin

I walk down the hallway after getting all my Viper gear on, my helmet held under my arm as I tighten one of the wrist bands with my other hand and my mouth.

"Jade!" I spin around to see Steve all suited up, coming down the hall, helmet and shield in hand. "Fly down there and meet Tony and Thor. Call Peter too and the rest of us will be there as soon as possible."

"Okie dokie, Captain." I say with a salute and then jog to the balcony, Steve chuckling behind me. I come to a stop in the door frame, the wind encasing me in a chilling breeze. I turn back around, Steve gone, and run to grab my leather jacket from the kitchen. Throwing it on and then my helmet, I run back out to the balcony, my boots igniting as I jump. "Jarvis?" I ask, flying my way above New York.

"Yes Jade?"

"Could you call Peter?" Without an answer, a box is pulled up on the screen in my helmet, Peter's contact photo on display.

"Hey, what's up?" He answers after several rings.

"Oh you know, the usual. I finally told everyone about my first experiment with HYDRA, oh and hey, speaking of HYDRA, yeah there's a squad of HYDRA agents attacking lower Manhattan. So it would be super if you could lend a hand, or web, and meet us down there." I say with faux pep.

"What, Jade! Okay we'll talk about that first thing later, but next time HYDRA is attacking, an earlier notice would be awesome." Peter responds.

"Yeah would have if the rest of us hadn't just found out either. Oh, and tune into your local Tin Man for a briefing on an unknown hostile there too."

"Will do, heading out now." Peter says before hanging up.

I curve around a building, coming to a halt seeing Tony and Thor fighting the HYDRA agents. "Alright Stark, the others are on their way, let's hear about this unknown." Whom of which I have yet to spot.

"What about the kid?" tony asks.

"He's coming too." I answer, still scanning the area below me. A jet appears from where I had come from, landing on the ground with Clint, Natasha and Steve running out into the battle.

"Sounds good," Tony says blasting an agent shooting at him. "We still don't have a name on him, but he's a new leader within HYDRA, goes around wearing a metal, skull mask. As far as we know, no enhancements but a hell of a lot of firepower."

"That's it?" Natasha asks.

"That's why it's called a briefing." tony responds.

"Wow Nat, I could see that eye roll all the way from up here." I chuckle, despite not actually being able to see Natasha.

Everyone battling the HYDRA agents now, I see Peter swing his way in and joining everyone on the ground. I finally spot the unknown standing atop a building and looking down at the mayhem. "I have eyes on the unknown, should I engage?" I ask.

I see Tony and Steve exchange a look before Steve says, "Be careful Jade, we don't know a lot about him."

"And I bet you he doesn't know a lot about me." I say before flying behind the building he's on.

"FN-2187, BD-3841, KE-1936, separate BLack Widow and Hawkeye." I hear him say.

"Clint, Natasha, you've got incoming." I whisper before silently landing on the roof behind What's His Butt. "I know HYDRA's messed up, but you really named your agents like stormtroopers?" I say with my French accent, startling this guy as he spins around, grabbing for his gun.
