Accident

Narrator's P.O.V.

Jason is mindlessly flipping through the TV, trying to find something interesting for Charlie and Wyatt. He stumbles upon the local news station, a breaking story is on. "This just in... two Social Media Influencers have been hospitalized and are in critical condition. At this point on time, we do not- Oh, wait. The Influencers have just been identified. They are Elizabeth Koshy and David Dobrik."

His first movement is towards his phone, dialing his ex-wife's number. "Hey.. Marni. Is there any way you can take the kids? Something bad has happened."

"What happened? And of course, I'll be over to your house in fifteen minutes." Marni says happily, longing to see her kids.

"David and Liza were a bad accident, it's all over the news. I got to get to hospital and contact their parents."

"Oh my god. They'll pull through, they're strong. I know how much you love those kids. Alright, I got to go, I'll be there soon."

Time Lapse To Hospital

Jason runs in, and heads straight to the front desk. "Hi, I'm here for David Dobrik and Elizabeth Koshy." He taps his foot nervously.

"Alright, we have no new information that I can give you other than they're both in emergency surgery right now. I need you to fill out some paperwork and I'll need your name and your relationship with them." The nurse says, typing things away on the computer before handing Jason a clipboard.

"I'm Jason Nash, and I'm their co-worker and friend." She nods. 

"Have you contacted their emergency contacts yet?" He totally forgot about that.

"Not yet, but I plan to do it right away this conversation." She nods again, typing things into the computer.

"Do you need their emergency contacts phone number?" He shakes his head no. "Ok, thank you Mr. Nash." Jason walks away with the forms, and calls David's parents first.

Call

"Hello?" Says Kristina through the phone, her thick accent present.

"Hi... Mrs. Dobrik, it's Jason Nash." 

"Oh, hello Jason. Is everything alright?"

"I need to tell you something. I need you to sit down and with your husband. Also, make sure the kids aren't in ear shot." Kristina calls out to her husband before sitting on their couch. "Ok... I know you don't want to hear this but... David and Liza have been in a bad accident. Their currently in surgery, that's all I know at this point." 

David's mom erupts into sobs, her husband clinging onto her. "Thanks Jason, we'll be on a flight to LA soon." Says Palo before hanging up to tend to his wife. 

End Call 

Now he has to call Liza's parents. They pick up on the second ring.

Call

"Oh, Jason, hello. What a pleasant surprise. How's everything going?" Says Jean, happy as a clam. Jason is not looking forward to breaking the news. 

"Not the best, listen. I need you to grab your husband and sit down. This is pretty hard to hear." Jason says, but he can't make eye contact with her. Once again, Jean calls over her husband and they take a seat on the couch. Jason sighs before looking up and continuing. "The reason I called is because I need to inform you guys that David and Liza have been in bad accident. I just got to the hospital and they told me that they're both in emergency surgery, they haven't told me anything else."
