For a small moment I hesitated, when I was standing in front of the door of my apartment.

It was really tiny after all and I didn't even really know the girl, I was taking inside. But as I looked at her again, I threw all of my concern away.

It was nothing to decide by manners, she needed a place to stay.

At least until she found her own living space.

And I couldn't afford to pay for a hotel room.

I unlocked the door and stepped inside, taking a look around.

It was a mess.

I never realized it before, but my whole room looked like someone threw a bomb in it and everything exploded and flew around.

I quickly gulped down my shock and started to at least throw my clothes into the laundry-basket and the dirty dishes into the kitchen sink.

I looked around again.

It was slightly better.

After cleaning up, I threw a glance to my guest and gave her a slight smile.

"Well.. welcome to my crib. Make yourself at home.", I mumbled and sat down onto my bed, which was the only seating situation I had.

There wasn't enough space for more.

But still, I was a bit surprised, when she really sat down next to me, after hesitating for a moment.

I just assumed that she would've preferred to sit on the coffee table than on some stranger's bed.

But I was relieved, that she didn't.

It would've only made the whole situation even more awkward.

I didn't know what exactly, but something about her was different right now and she kind of looked like a small kitten to me.

It was just now, that I realized how tiny she actually was, compared to myself.

Adorable, somehow.

Until I saw her tears again.

I slightly pressed my lips together and carefully approached her, to softly put my hand on her head and make her look up to my face.

But even if I touched her right now, I kept my distance, as I didn't really know, how stable she was.

"Wanna take a shower? Might help a little.", I asked her in a quiet tone.

She looked at me, with her tears still falling from her eyes, and I couldn't help but carefully wipe them away with my thumb.

She didn't reject it.

After a moment, she just nodded briefly, which made me stand up for now and look for a towel inside of my dresser.

And indeed, I found one.
