When we reached home, I felt so dirty that I couldn't handle it anymore, so I disappeared into the bathroom as soon as the door closed behind me.
After taking my shirt off, I carefully surveyed the section of my ribs that hurt the most and could actually see that the bruises were slowly fading.
At least one good thing.
I sighed lightly in relieve and took the rest of my clothes off, to finally take my well deserved shower.
Done with everything, I rubbed myself dry with a towel and left the bathroom with only my sweatpants on, slowly walking towards the fridge and taking a look at the screaming emptiness that approached me.
Depressing.
With a big yawn, I closed the door and looked at Jimin who was sitting on my bed, looking cute as hell in one of my shirts.
"Guess we have to starve today.", I said quietly and layed down next to her, softly placing my head on her lap.
Her head tilted and I could see a warm smile growing on her face, before she put her hand on my head and ran her fingers through my hair.
It felt good.
Relaxing and soothing in a way I couldn't describe.
"I don't mind starving too much... Do you have to work tomorrow?"
I shook my head and slowly closed my eyes.
"Good. Then we can go get some groceries. The customer I had today gave me a few bucks too much."
"Sounds good to me..."
My eyes opened again and I slowly lifted my hand up to put it on her cheek.
For a moment we just locked eyes with each other, until I pulled her face closer to mine and kissed her again.
It wasn't too much.
Just a few soft pecks, until I could feel her breath starting to change and slowly let go of her face to straighten up, clenching my teeth from the pain my ribs were giving me.
"You okay?"
I looked at her with a small put on smile, grabbed the remote control to turn on my music and took a cigarette out of the box to light it up.
With the thin stick between my fingers, I layed back again and quietly hummed the melody of the song that was playing.
I was so absorbed into it, that I didn't even realize that Jimin was standing up.
Only when my head softly fell down to the matress, I watched her walking to the fridge and looking for something I didn't know about.
I felt bad, she was probably hungry.
But my worries disappeared when she came back with a bag of frozen peas and I raised an eyebrow at her.
"What..."
"Just stay still..."
She sat down again, carefully lifting up my head to put it back on her lap and wrapped the peas in a kitchen towel.
When the bag touched my rib section, a layer of goosebumps ran over my body.
It didn't hurt but it sure was cold.
Taking a deep breath, I put my hand on hers and looked up to her.
"You worked hard today, huh? You did well..."
I felt her hand getting cold under mine, so I softly locked my fingers with hers, holding the pea-bag on my own.
My heart started beating faster when she looked at me in confusion.
I carefully placed her palm on my chest and took a hit of my cigarette.
It wasn't getting better.
Her eyes were fixed to the spot where her hand was.
"Why is it beating like that?"
"I don't know, seriously."
My tone was sarcastic and made her giggle a little, until I put out the gleaming cigarette in the ash tray and straightened up, just to pull her into my arms and bury her face on my chest with that.
Turning the light on my drawer off with one hand, I pulled her just a little bit closer and eventually buried my face in her hair.
The soft music was still playing in the background and I didn't want to turn it off anyways.
I didn't know, when exactly I learned the meaning of the word 'serendipity'. But it was in this right moment when I felt it for the first time in my life.
This small feeling of finding something good without the intention of looking for it in the first place.
The feeling of her small body pressed to mine, the slightly faded smell of her perfume.
The memory of her warm eyes looking at me, when she couldn't figure me out at all.
It was the whole picture of her, that didn't want to leave my head anymore.
Without realizing or even thinking about it, I quietly started singing along with the song that was playing right now.
And when I came to the part that said 'You saved me', I wasn't allowed to keep going anymore.
Her soft lips found mine again and I could feel her tiny hand searching its way to the back of my head, making my whole body shiver in this small, perfect moment.
My hand reached out to her nape and softly carressed it.
"Don't hold back for once..."
These five quiet words, whispered against my lips, made my head go completely blank and gave me chills for the second time in this night.
"You sure about that..?"
She answered.
Placing her lips on mine again was more than words could've ever told me in that situation. So I finally stopped thinking.
Rolling over and supporting myself with one hand next to her shoulder, I carefully pushed her face to the side with my nose and started kissing down on her body.
The soft jawline, her neck, collarbone, slowly pulling her up with me to free her from the huge shirt she was wearing, leaving her in nothing but her small panties.
One of my hands placed to her back, I layed her down again and continued the slightly provoking kisses, softly biting into her skin here and there, until I reached the hips.
Seeing and feeling her curling up under my lips and fingers, hearing her breath getting faster.
It was everything I could think about. Just for once...
"It's the unexpected, that changes our lives."
