Hyung...

They died. They are gone and they won't come back... I was right, when I told them to not fucking move to Seoul, but they did it anyways.. I knew it would only bring us misfortune and here we are. They died in a car accident. I survived. And now I'm completely alone...

The police brought me to an orphanage, a little bit outside of the city. The other kids suck. Mom and Dad are dead. And you're god knows where... Are these letters even reaching you? I don't know what to do anymore, to get a reaction out of you... I miss you so much. And I really need you right now..

Please come and visit me.. or get me out of here somehow.. the new address is on the envelope..

Hyun"

I had no idea, how many times I've read this letter over the past few months. It was probably the one, that looked the most drenched and wrinkled and I could still feel the pure despair, sadness and loneliness behind his harsh words and pleading. He was only fourteen at this time, but he sounded so much older and more mature than he should have. More mature, than he did in his last letters. It was scary to me and I felt more guilt, the more I read it.

My thumb grazed over the washed out letters, before I put the piece of paper back in the envelope and sighed quietly, straightening myself up inside my bed and running my fingers through my messy hair.

I'd slept in today, as I didn't have to work at the convenience store and my lesson at the music school got cancelled. So I only had to meet up with Jaehyun and Jimin.

I took a shower, got ready and made my way downtown to the coffee shop in Mapo.

My legs were restless, while I was sitting on one of the sofas of the coffee shop. My cup of black coffee was in front of me, but I didn't dare to touch it yet, as it would probably push my unnecessarily high energy up even further.

I didn't know why, but I was nervous. It's not like I had a huge backstory with Jimin (which I already knew, he would take with him, as far as I knew him), and already met and cleared things up a little with Hyun himself. But it felt... weird. She was his girlfriend now, or at least something like that, and she'd always been his girl. I still remembered vividly how clingy she was back then, when it came to him and always found it kind of cute.

Of course I was happy to see her again. We were very good friends too when we were young, but it was still awkward. Maybe because of all the time that had passed by now. It's been longer than the last time I saw Jaehyun, after all.

My eyes got stuck to the glassdoor at the entrance of the small shop and repeatedly sneaked over to the watch on my wrist. They were a little bit late. But I didn't have to wait much longer, as the face of my best friend showed up behind the door a few moments later.

I watched him look around and could see his face light up, when he recognized me. And right in that second, he pushed the door open completely and Jimin walked in behind him. I looked at her up and down descreetly and had to admit, she was really beautiful. It didn't surprise me, that Hyun got fascinated by her again. But I couldn't see, why he didn't recognize her. Her face looked even more similar to her younger self, than it did on the picture, he showed me the evening before.

When she saw me, I could see her lips forming a huge smile, her eyes glowing with pure excitement and I stood up to open my arms for her. It felt right, to hug her. I had always hugged her, even when I still found girls disgusting. She fastened her steps and I wrapped her inside a big bear-hug, when she reached me.

Jaehyun was watching with a slight grin, his hands buried in his pockets, while I ran my fingers over Jimins head and made her loosen her tight grip a little bit, ruffling her hair.

"Look at you, all grown up. Well... kind of."

I received a slight punch to my stomach and laughed out a bit, swallowing the pain.

"Making fun of my height again. What a way to greet me, idiot."

"I hugged you, stop bullying me."

"Yes, and destroyed it in the next second. So you're the one bullying me."

Jaehyun met eyes with me and I could see him pressing his lips together in a try to supress his laugher, but failing immediately when he saw my face, which was playfully throwing daggers at him by now.

I loosened the hug completely and sat back down, watching the other two placing themselves across from me which finally made me grab my cup, taking a sip of my coffee.

"How've you been, Mini? Tell me everything."

She looked like she was thinking about my question for a moment and slightly smiled at me, before she answered at.

"Well... it's been rough. It's too much to talk about, here and now, but... it got better lately."

Her gaze was glued to Jaehyun for the last part of her sentence and she ran her fingers through his hair, making him look at her, until they both smiled lovingly. It really was cute. Disgusting, somehow, but still cute.

"Okay then. I'm just glad that both of you seem good right now. But whenever one of you needs to talk about something, just text me, alright? I've disappeared for way too long now..", I reassured them and waited, until they both nodded and smiled at me.

It felt good, to have them around again. It was comforting and familiar, even if it felt weird before.
