"Babe?" Ashton yells down the hallway of your home. You'd been living together for a few months and were set to be married in a few weeks.
"Yea?" You find him in the doorway of the bathroom.
"Um what is this?" He holds up a pee stick pregnancy test.
"A pregnancy test," you mumble. Grabbing it out of his hand and pushing past him to toss it back in the trash bin.
"Well is it positive?" his tone is harsh and accusing.
"No," you sit on the edge of the bathtub, running a hang through your tangled hair. You'd had a pregnancy scare about a week ago, but the test came out next negative and your period shortly after. Since you weren't you didn't feel the need to tell Ash.
"Thank god." He lets out a sigh and leans against the sink. Picking your eyes up from the ground you glare at him. "What?" he innocently asks.
"Would it have been that bad to father my child? I mean we are getting married in three weeks."
"Well I don't necessarily want to start a family." Ashton sheepishly avoids looking at you. You felt sick. Your soon to be husband didn't want a family.
"Really Ashton? Never?"
"Well maybe not never, but not soon. The band is just starting to get big and sucessful and even just getting married in all of that is difficult."
"Fine, then maybe we shouldn't get married." With that you storm out of the bathroom and into your bedroom, slamming the door shut behind you. Leaning against the closed door you slowly slide to the floor, the tears in your eyes spilling over.
"Kiara! Please let me in, babe. I'm sorry. I love you." Ashton's voice sounds from the other side. It breaks your heart hearing the hurt in his voice. "Just let me in. We need to talk about this." After pulling yourself together as much as you can before opening the door. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." He steps into the room, leaving space between you when he sees you there with your arms crossed.
"Then what did you mean?"
"I don't know. I guess I just panicked because this is all getting so real. I love you so much and I really do want to marry you, but that plus starting a family? That's a lot to take on. Especially when I'm gone on tour." You sighed. He had a point.
"So not never, just not right now?" You let him take a few steps to close the gap between you, pulling you into his strong arms. "I'm sorry I freaked out. I love you, Ash." You mumble into his chest.
"I love you too, Kiara."
