"Can you honestly just drop it?" Ashton bellowed at his friend Luke.
"No, I won't. She's even younger than me. Do you have any idea what would do to our bands image? The oldest member dating a 16 year old?" This was always the argument since you started dating Ashton a few months back.
"Ashley doesn't act like other girls her age. It's literally just a number!" He defends your relationship.
"What are you going to say to the interviewer when they ask? Cause you know they will."
"I'll make something up, just back off." Ashton spits, before storming off. You had been listening from the other side of the door at the hotel, where you were stuck for the day since the boys can't go out without getting noticed.
"You know, Luke." You open the door just enough to see him, and resting your hip on the frame. The boy towered over you, running a hand through his spikey blonde locks. "Neither of us asked for this to happen. It just did. You can't help who you fall for." With that you close the door and crawl back into bed, already emotionally drained. Since the interview was live on TV you watched from the comfort of your hotel bed, with room service spread out around you.
"So, the most important question," the interviewer started. You were never sure why people thought this was critically important. "Which one of you is single or taken? Let's just go down the line."
"Single," Luke speaks first.
"Single," Calum echoes.
"Pringle. It's like single but hungry," Michael explains. Then it was down to Ashton.
"Uh single." He lied through his teeth.
"What about the pictures with the mystery girl?"
"Oh that's just my little sisters friends older sister. We are just good friends." He flashes his perfect, sincere smile to make it believeable. You knew that he couldn't answer truthfully about the two of you but it still hurt watching him lie.
"Can I talk to the both of you?" Luke comes into the area where you and Ashton are hanging out. You both nod letting him know to continue. "I was wrong, and I'm sorry. I know the age thing is a tough subject, and I didn't make it easier."
"It's ok, mate. We decided to keep it low for a while anyway. Give people time to adjust to her being around as a friend before we come out." You nodded in agreement. You'd decided it would be best for both of you.
"Whenever you do let everyone know, we're all behind you." Luke leaves the room, leaving you and Ashton alone again.
'I really love you. I'm glad we found each other." You peck his lips, smiling at how lucky you got.
