( present day, the mansion )
( yui )It was the Saturday evening, they boys were all in their rooms and I was finally alone; something I'm not usually. The dusty orange sky soon started being dotted by stars and welcomed by the half empty moon; bringing a blue light down o the faded green grass outside. I sighed in a melancholy tone, not the least bit happy that it was almost dinner time for me and the sakamakis.
My nails scratched the side of my window as I stared into the rose garden.
I wonder if the boys will get mad if I go out and explore around the mansion. Maybe doing that, I could be a bit more relaxed.I nodded to myself softly, getting up from the window ledge and dusting my lap of politely. My sherbet eyes scanned my door, fearing in case ayato or anyone else could be outside. But, to my disbelief, nobody was there, absolutely nothing in the corridors either. I gulped, reassuring myself that everything was going to be okay as I took my first step out of my room. The cool air from outside my room made goosebumps appear on my pale white skin. I shivered softly, whimpering as I did when I checked left and right for any sign of movement. Nothing... they must be busy for sure!
One by one, my steps were heard on the corridor floor; fear still demolishing any sign of hope left in me.
As I walked down the empty halls of the mansion, I came across an unknown room I haven't noticed before. The rooms door was creaked open slightly, showing a window and the side of a bed. Of course, my curiosity got the better of me as I stepped into the dark and dusty room. Just for safety, I closed the door behind me and tried to find any sort of light. But the only light that was there was from the moonlight through the window. My breathing was probably the only thing I heard as I started walking around the lonely room. My eyes scanned the flowery painting scattered along the wall as well as a painting of a castle done by fingers. Frames of a young girl filled the centre of the wall, as well as small ones on the side of the bed. I stopped what I was doing and walked up to the picture, looking over the 40 inch painting to see a girl about the age of 11. She was beautiful, her chocolate coloured hair was straightened and clipped in small baby blue bows, and her clothing looked like it was from the Victorian era. My eyes soon trailed over to the person next to her, but my eyes deceived me.
"Subaru?" I mumbled quietly to myself, looking at the young albino male who stood next to her with their hands intertwined. My attention had now been moved to the youngsters in front of me. A confused expression written on my pale face as I looked behind them to see what was there. It was the mansion! Who is she?! Why is Subaru there?
Questions ran through my mind like a car on a racing track as I looked at the girl once more. But just to make sure, I leaned down at the bottom to see if any writing was there.
The twins
What on gods name... Subaru had a sister..?! W-Why didn't anyone tell me this?! And why isn't she here if she's his sister!?
Panic flooded over me as I soon started walking backwards, but as my luck ran out, I bumped into a chest none other than reiji. " you should not be in here" he stated bluntly, before grabbing my wrist harshly and throwing me out of the room. I yelled in fright before looking back up at him.
"I-im sorry! I was just curious!" I said, raising my hands above my head for defence. Reiji stayed quiet for quite a while before shaking his head and glaring at me.
"It's rude to trespass over a dead persons room, you know" The tall male said, fixing his glasses before shutting the door with a light click.
"I won't punish you for going in there, she wouldn't let me..." His voice trailed off into a sad and melancholy tone, making me perk up lightly and look at him in wonder.
"She...?" I managed a mutter, watching his expression discreetly as I spoke. But to my absolute surprise, reiji didn't look mad, he looked upset, deeply upset."Go back to your room, and dont tell any of my brothers that you were in there" He looked away and started walking down opposite the direction I came in. My mouth hung open in shock as I watched him till he went out of sight.
"Ayato, get out of her room! Its not proper to trespass!" I screeched in anger at my younger brother who shut out sisters door to her room that he was just in...
"What!? all I did was look for my takoyaki, I know she hid it from me!" he yelled back, clenching his fists in anger as he did. I groaned, fixing my glasses and raising my hand to slap his face, but a few seconds later, a small hand threw my arms down to the floor. " reiji dont hurt him!" my youngest sibling squealed in my ear, making sure I landed on her lap so I wouldn't get hurt. Ayato burst into heaps of laughter, holding his stomach as he watched eve glare at him.
"Beat that reiji! Eve's got my back, right baby sis?" My red headed brother hissed with pride. Eve stopped glaring and replaced it with a nervous stare.
"Actually, I ate all of your takoya-" "YOU WHAT?!" She was interrupter with a furious roar from ayato.
"I'm gonna kill you!" he screeched, accidentally pouncing on me and not her, making me grunt and clench my stomach in pain." o-oh, sorry reiji!" he said, his voice becoming quieter as he chased our sister down the halls of the lonely mansion.
