"What is it?" Ayato asked with a confused expression written on his face. Him and Laito both turned their attention to me and listened closely to what I was going to say.

"There's something I haven't told anyone ever since I left..." i whispered, nervousness making my hands shake and my lip quiver.

"I became an orphan right after the night I ran away. I joined a group of children by the countryside in an orphanage that was miles away from the mansion. All of them were human, but the thing is... the orphanage was ran by abusive men and woman. We didn't see them at day, but we always saw them at night. The first day I stayed there, i had met a group of boys... one of which I ended up marking on" I sighed, lifting my legs up that were supported by my hands.

"I loved every inch of him, his smile, his personality, even his choice of dialogue. It was all perfect. He was a 14 year old human boy... and he lived at the orphanage with his friends who he seemed to called brothers," I sighed and sniffed quietly to hold back the tears.

"All of them were amazing people to be with, but he was the best out of all of them. I stayed an entire year at the orphanage, but throughout that time, I fell in love and found my soulmate who also had feelings for me, I could sense it. But..." My voice trailed off into a light sob when I pictured the old memories of that one dreadful day. I sniffed and ended up letting out a small whimper.
Ayato immediately sat by my side and grabbed me In for a hug, his arm wrapped around my shoulder as his hand pushed my head onto his shoulder.

"but I couldn't handle my thirst... it was all to much. I killed so many of them!" I cried into Ayatos shoulder for minutes until my tears stopped once more.

The time was 5 minutes past midnight. The orphans were asleep and ruki was next to me. His arm was wrapped around my shoulder as we shared a warm embrace.
The sky was painted black with white stars dotted everywhere and the moon was shining down, reflecting on the broken shards of glass that surrounded the frame of the old window.
I was in deep thought when ruki ran his fingers through my hair, the soft skin of his wrists touching the back of my neck as he braided the small hairs of my head.
He hummed a small song to himself as he worked on the small strands of my hair.
The breeze was chilled yet it had a calming aura to it. It's coldness swishing Into the room and bouncing off the skin of Ruki and I.
"hey eve, what's on your mind?" Rukis soft voice echoed inside the room we were in, which made a smile appear on my face when hearing it.
I sighed, making sure to stay still so he could finish off my braid.
"oh- it's nothing..." I smiled at him reassuringly and took his free hand which was next to me.
Rukis eyes narrowed, but they soon closed when I raised my hand up to cup his porcelain cheek.
"just you, I guess" I chuckled, nervously using my other hand to chew on with my top fangs.
The boy behind me wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his chin on my shoulder, his breath tickling my skin ever so slightly.
"I love you, eve" he said, quite bashfully I might add. His cheeks were tinted a soft dusty pink and a smile rose on his cheeks like a sunrise. His blue eyes glistened in the moons light and they soon filled with tears.
I quickly sat up and turned to face ruki, my hands quickly cupping his cheeks as a few stray tears left his eyes.
My lip quivered uncontrollably as I watched ruki sniff and wipe his eyes.
"I'm just so glad you came" he chuckled weakly, his voice cracking at almost every word.
I smiled the widest I had ever done in my life and wrapped my arms around him. I brought his body close to mine as we shared a sweet embrace.
The silence was comforting and the wind was now unknown to me with how warm Rukis body heat was.
I ran my hand through his messy hair and played with it carefully when ruki had his arms wrapped around my waist.
We sat there for about 10 minutes before pulling away and smiling at each other.
But all of a sudden, Rukis smile dropped, replaced with a shocked and frightened stare. Pulling back slightly, I raised my eyebrows when seeing that his eyes had widened massively.
"e-eve... why are you eyes-" he stuttered and came to a sudden halt in his unfinished sentence.
"Glowing..." he whispered in an apprehensive tone. I launched myself away from him quickly and tried my best to try and find a shard of glass from the broken window. In the clear glass, I could see a reflection of two glowing dots as I stared directly into it.
This isn't good, i thought to myself.
How could I forget that tonight was a full moon?!
Of all the nights for me and ruki to be together, it had to be this night.
