5 - Contract

A few seconds after, his men in black arrived and placed a table for two at the center. Jin walked with her with his hands on her hips and helped her sit.

The sound of pouring wine on the glass made the silence more enchanting. But she had no interest to such so she just watched him drank his glass of wine.

Liz pressed her lips.

How could a human being drink so sexily?

Then, Liz saw a young woman making her way towards them.

The young woman bowed and smiled as she handed an envelope to Jin.

Kim Seokjin:
    "Thank you."

The young woman just nodded and smiled. Liz smiled back at her.

Kim Seokjin:
   "Meet my attorney."

Liz was in shock. She thought the attorney he was talking about was an old man wearing eyeglasses and a bald head. The usual scene she saw on movies.

"Hi, Miss Shin. My name is Hee Ja Ae :) "

Liz smiled big and received her hand for a handshake.

Then his attorney left.

SHIN LIZ was still trying to make herself believe that everything was just normal.

But no.

First, he almost killed a man, brought him to the hospital and pretended he was her boyfriend, asked for marriage in exchange for her freedom from jail and turned out the man named Kim SeokJin was very rich.

She didn't know what would happen next. What would her life be after she agreed to his proposal? She wanted to ask him why her. Why did he want to marry a woman who almost killed him?

Isn't marriage for a couple who truly love each other? That they're both ready to be with each other forever until death separates them?

That only death could separate them?

Liz shook her head. She should face the consequence of her careless actions. And besides, she was all alone. She only had her friend, Hannah whom she believed to remain single forever.

Thoughts of his real identity kept on playing inside her head.

Was he a very desperate man who was in a hurry to get married?

She remembered the day she met his relative at the hospital. They were talking about, "no marriage, no share". Did it mean the Mr. KIM Seokjin she was with was just using her for a share?

Money?

Will she be just a puppet wife? Will she turn into his prisoner and use her in many ways like a slave until he's done with her and would just throw her away?

Her heart felt so nervous. She wanted to run away or maybe jump off the building and end her life with a very ugly death.

What's next, Shin Liz?

Jin handed to her the envelope after reading the paper inside thoroughly.

She opened the envelope and took the papers inside.

Her eyes widened from the first word she saw on the paper.

Liz:
   "A contract?"

Jin got a pen from his suit's pocket and placed it in front of her.

Jin:
    "Sign it."
