42 - Connection

Liz:
   "My dead body?"

Min Yoongi just nodded. And Liz could never believe in what he was talking about.

Liz:
   "What do you mean? I'm alive!"

The man just sighed. Then Liz looked at the sleeping Mr. Kim. He was sound asleep, so peaceful and calm.

Liz:
   "Am I Myeong Elizabeth's reincarnation?"

After all, she believed with the impossible.

The man in black suit just shrugged his shoulders.

Min Yoongi:
   "Well, it says here in the records that after your son died from tuberculosis, you died a year after. From a mother's longing to her child. You suddenly stopped breathing."

Liz closed her eyes and sighed.

Liz:
   "Depression."

Min Yoongi flipped another page.

Min Yoongi:
   "Your son was just 9 when you lived in Russia. He died at the age of 12."

Liz:
   "Mr. Kim must be in agony when he lost his wife and son."

The man nodded.

Yoongi:
   "Perhaps, it's part of the curse. His immortality offered him such in return to his renewal of life."

Liz held Jin's hand as tears fell from her eyes.

Liz:
   "I felt bad for you, Mr. Kim."

Yoongi interrupted him.

Yoongi:
   "Sure ~ since you were the reason why he became immortal. You asked for it. He suffered."

Liz didn't know what to answer him. She would accept that. Because of her, Jin was brought to life again. And after all those years, he suffered from the pain of loosing and being alone.

Min Yoongi:
   "On that night of the bloody moon ~ when you hit him with a car . . . It was never a coincidence. The moon's son planned it. Why? So Mr. Kim Seokjin would continue to live in pain. He would have died on that accident since it was the occurence of the same red moon which happened 150 years ago. But his heart beat again after seeing you."

Liz's heart beat rapidly as she realized she was the cause of Mr. Kim's immortality.

Yoongi:
    "You caused the renewal of his life. Truth of the matter, he intended to end his life under the bloody moon to his rebellion. To prove to the moon that he could defy the curse brought by the greediness you wished for."

Liz continued crying. The man's words hit her.

Yoongi:
    "But then, the Moon's son's plan went well. He wanted for Mr. Kim to suffer for more. To see you again die. Or worse, see you be taken away by the Moon's son. To have you as his own just like what he longed for 150 years ago. To make you as his bride."

Liz immediately shook her head.

Liz:
   "I will never allow that. No - no. I will never leave Mr. Kim again. Even if it will put my life to danger."

Min Yoongi looked straight to Liz's eyes.

Min Yoongi:
   "But the biggest plot twist here is, if you die - he will also die."

Liz knitted her eyebrows and although she couldn't utter a single word, her eyes could ask and speak for itself.

Like who would wish to die?

Min Yoongi:
   "Connection. You die, his 100th death. End of his immortality."
