More than just Friends? (A Tyler Ward and Alex G fanfinc)

Chapter 13: The First Video

I wake up the next morning and smile, knowing that I am going to post something to the world and then the fact of posting a video of me singing to millions of people made me feel sick to my stomach. 

I wasn’t sure if I should do this anymore... I decided to text Tyler, knowing he was probably up already and waiting for me to get there soon. 

A: Hey Tyler

T: Hi Alex! Good morning! U getting ready for the video 2day? :) 

A: Ya about that.. I’m not sure about doing this anymore.. I feel kinda nervous about posting this and any1 can watch it...

T: Hey don’t worry about it! U will b fine. And everyone will love ur voice, trust me.  ;) 

A: Thanks... And ok I think I will do this. I will be over in 10 mins

T: Great! I am glad you are doing this. :) 

A: Ya.. Me too :) 

I sigh with nervousness and get ready and head over to Tyler’s house. On the way there I keep thinking of all the bad things that could go wrong. People hating me for my voice and saying bad things about me. And just what will people think of me? I try to shake those thoughts out of my head by the time I get to Tyler’s door. 

I get to his door, take a deep breath, and knock. Moments later, Tyler opens it and smiles. 

“ Hi Alex!” he says, smiling. 

“ Hey Tyler.” I say, smiling back. 

He invites me in and we walk down to his basement, where I see a camera set on a tripod and lights around it. Looking at all of this stuff made me nervous again, but being with Tyler somehow helped me calm down in a way. 

We start to film, and he shows me how the camera works and once I figured it all out, he let me record his part, and he played guitar while I recorded him. 

After I filmed a couple different shots of him playing through the song, it was my turn. He told me I could sing it and he could record it and mute the audio, so I did that. 

He set up the camera and positioned it on me. He looked at me and ask if I was ready. I nodded and he pressed record. 

While he was filming me, I kept looking at him, and back at the camera, because whenever I looked at him, I felt calm and not worried anymore. 

After filming the last shot, we downloaded all of our shots onto his computer and he showed me how to edit while he edited my video. 

A couple hours went by, and we finally finished the video. It looked really cool! I felt really good about it, and we went over to YouTube to post it. After about another hour, it posted. 

We refreshed the page of the video until it played. That was when Tyler looked at me and said: 

“ Now your life is going to change, trust me.”
