More than just Friends? (A Tyler Ward and Alex G fanfinc)

Chapter 16: Distracted Feelings

I have realized that I need to get a boyfriend. Tyler is obviously not an option. I need to get a boyfriend to distracted my feelings for him, and so that he doesn’t know that I have feelings for him. 

The thing is, I want him to be my boyfriend, but I know that if I tell him everything, he may not have feelings for me, and who knows what will happen to us. 

I have had a couple guys talk to me since school started a couple months ago, so I know that guys are interested in me. 

It’s a Friday, and I am so happy that a week of school is almost over. Tyler comes to pick me up, and we go to school. 

We go to our first class that we have together, and the rest of the day seems to go pretty normally, but Math class changed everything. 

During our test, I had a note sent to me. I froze and looked up at the teacher, who was typing away on his computer, so I took the note and read it. 

Alex,

After I read the note, I look up and scan the classroom until I see him, and smile at him. This is perfect! It’s just what I need. I take a deep breath and finish my test. 

“ So how was the test?” Tyler says. 

“ Good, and thanks for helping me again this week.” I say, smiling. 

“ No problem.” 

“ So who was that who passed you the note?” he says, looking at the piece of paper in my hand. 

“ It was Dylan.” 

“ He’s a cool guy, I’m happy for you.” 

“ Thanks.” I say, smiling at him. 

The thing is, I’m not as happy as I wish I was, but this will have to do...for now at least. 

We continue to walk down the hall and finish our day.

“ Dinner’s ready!” my mom shouts from downstairs. 

I go downstairs and see my sister already down there, setting the table. 

I get some food and sit down at my place, and we eat in silence, for only a bit. 

“ So apparently somebody got asked out today.” my sister says, smiling at me. 

What she just said made my eyes get big, and I looked down. 

“ What? How did I not here about this?” my mom said. 

“ It’s not that big of a deal...” 

“ Yes it is!” my mom says, smiling. 

“ Let me guess, it was Tyler!!!” my sister says, screaming. 

“ Um... No...”

“ It’s not?! Darn it!! I ship you two!!” my sister says with sad eyes.

“ Then who is it?” my mom says. 

“ It’s a guy named Dylan.” 

“ What does he look like? What color is his hair? What color are his eyes? Is he nice? Is he-” 

“ Jackie sush!” 

“ Sorry Mom.” 

“ But really what is he like?” 

“ Well, he has brown hair, and brown eyes, and -” 

Shoot. What have I done? He looks like Tyler. Ugh!! Well at least he isn’t actually him...

“ Alex?” my sister says, waving her hand across my face. 

“ S-sorry.” 

We finish dinner in silence and when we finish, I get ready for bed and write an entry in my journal. 

Dear Diary,

So today it happened. I got asked out by a guy. But, it wasn’t Tyler. It was a guy in my math class named Dylan. He is actually really nice and kinda good looking.

I am glad that I did this, because it will help me distract my feelings for Tyler. 

I am getting really tired now, so I will go to bed and write more tomorrow.
