More than just Friends? (A Tyler Ward and Alex G fanfinc)

Chapter 33: Birthday

~ Alex ~

 I never would of thought that this would come up. I never had an answer ready. I take a deep breath, and look at Dylan and then Tyler. I knew that I had to change the subject. There was no way that I could just tell Tyler why he was the first one to really hear me sing. 

 “ Dylan we should just go ok...” 

 “ Alex wait just tell me, please.” Tyler says, putting a hand on my shoulder to turn me around. 

 “ I can’t..sorry.” I say, then taking Dylan’s hand as we walk to his car.

 ~ Tyler ~ 

 Alex is definitely hiding something. I just know it. She’s not telling me why she sang to me and not anyone else. Wait unless... No...But what if she really does? Then why would she have a boyfriend if she actually does... 

 I sigh, and get into my car and head home.  

When I get home, I head down to my studio, and sit in a chair and just stare at the desk.    So many thoughts are swirling around in my head. 

 Does she like me? Is that why she sang to me before anyone else? Is it something about me that she is just comfortable being around me? Ugh I just wish that she would just tell me... But maybe the reason why she won’t tell me is because that she really... No... Tyler remember that she has a boyfriend, she obviously doesn’t like you...

 I sit up, and sigh as I turn on my computer and start to work on a song.

I wake up the next day, and remembered something.  

It’s my birthday today! I can’t believe that I almost forgot! I am gonna be 17! Wow time sure goes by quickly. 

 I get out of bed and head downstairs and began to take in the smell of pancakes and bacon. 

 “ Mom are you making breakfast?” 

 “ Sure am!” she says, as I enter the kitchen. “ Good morning birthday boy!” 

“ Mom..” I say. “ I am not a kid anymore, you know that.” 

“ Ya I know... You just have grown up so quickly!” 

 “ Is the food almost ready?” I say, changing the subject. 

 “ Yep!” she says, smiling. 

 Breakfast is soon ready and we sit down to eat together. 

 “ So tonight what do you want for dinner?” she says, then taking a bit of a pancake. 

“ Um how about a pasta with meat sauce?” 

“ Sure! That sounds good.” she says smiling. “ Who is coming again?” 

 “ Just um Alex and a couple of my friends.” 

 “ Ok. Funny how you said Alex first... Is she...or do you-” 

 “ No Mom she’s just a friend ok?” 

 “ Ok if you say so.” she says, smiling. 

 “ What? I don’t like her ok?”
