I wake up to see that even more snow has fallen, and I smile, wondering if maybe I hang out with Tyler.
It’s kinda weird to not have my boyfriend here, and not being able to hang out with him during winter break, but his family lives on the East Coast, and he doesn’t get to see them as often.
I just wonder that if I do hang out with Tyler a lot during break, I will develop even more feelings for him...
I go downstairs and have some breakfast, and see that my family was already down there and dressed.
“ Good morning sweetie.”
“ Good morning.”
“ We are going to go out and about today, if you want to join us, let me know.”
“ No thanks, I am gonna stay here.”
“ You sure?”
“ Ya. I need to spend some time with someone.”
“ Tyler? But you have a boyfriend, right?”
“ Ya I do, and he’s not here right now, but that doesn’t mean I can’t hang out with Tyler while he’s gone.”
“ Ok. Well if you change your mind, let me know.”
“ OK.”
They all left and when they pulled out of the drive way and disappeared down the road, I sighed, and then made some breakfast and then went upstairs to get snow clothes on.
I stepped outside and took a deep breath, and the winter air filled me, and I smiled.
I then walked to Tyler’s and when I got there, I saw him playing guitar on his front porch.
I’m not gonna lie, but he looked like he was a hot singer in a Christmas music video that would get thousands of views in like 5 minutes. He had a nice scarf on, and a really nice coat that I am guessing he got for Christmas, and a new Taylor guitar that was so pretty. And then he saw me, and smiled, and oh my goodness, I got those butterflies again, and my heart started to race. But all that went away when my mind told me “ Hello Alex, you have a boyfriend remember?”
I sighed and then I walked up to his front porch and sat down next to him on his swing.
“ Hey.”
“ Hi.” he said, smiling again.
“ You look so um... Handsome?” I said, giggling.
“ Haha thanks. But you Alex, how do you make snow pants look good?”
“ Haha thanks Tyler.”
“ I was writing a winter song, you wanna hear what I have so far?”
“ Sure.” I say, smiling.
He started to strum some chords and then begin to sing.
Roses are red,
Skies are blue,
I like music,
But not as much as I love singing with you
Oh Alex ,
Your eyes are like brave flowers on a winter day,
You're the only person that makes me feel a certain way.
You are such an amazing friend
And I hope that we are with each other until the very end.
“ That’s all I have so far...so um ya. What do you think?”
What do I think? There are no words to describe what he just wrote for me.
“ I really liked it! And I wanna hear it when it’s all done!”
“ Ok I will finish it, don’t worry.” he said smiling.
“ You wanna go sledding?” I say, changing the subject before I could get lost in him again.
“ Sure! I have two sleds in my garage.”
“ Ok!”
He then grabs the sleds and we each take one and head down the road where a huge hill is.
“ Wanna race?” he says.
“ Sure!” I say, smiling.
“ One... Two... Three!!”
We go down at the same time and laugh when we get down there.
“ I won!” he says.
“ No I did!”
“ I don’t think so!”
“ How about a redo?”
“ Let’s do it!”
We go down again and I got down there first.
“ Ok ok you win!” he says, smiling with a short of breath.
“ You wanna go down together, on one sled?”
Alex! What are you thinking? Well I guess friends can do this too, right?
“ Sure!”
He then takes the bigger sled, and I get one first, towards the front, while he gets in on the back, and he puts his hands on my hips, and it made me get shivers down my spine, and I shiver.
“ Oh sorry I can’t put my hands on the sides of the sled.” he says, taking his hands off of my hips.
“ Oh no it’s ok.”
“ Ok.”
He then puts his hands back on my hips, and we look at each other and smile.
“ Ready?” he says.
“Ready!”
He then pushes the snow with his hands a couple of times, and then puts his hands back on me, and we sled down the hill.
We get to the bottom, and hit a bump, and fly out of the sled, and somehow, someway, we fall down on the snow and lay down next to each other.
We look at each other and smile, and then laugh.
“ That was..”
“ Awesome!” I finish, and then we laugh again.
