Chapter 56-2. Love-Nat Musketeers!
Eleonor Malicsi Dimaculangan
First: Nakakatakot.
She emerged out the entrance door like a judge in a courtroom. Even though she wasn’t wearing anything black and the fact that her clothes were all bright and flowery, she appeared like the harbinger of death to me.
Secondly: Nakakapangilabot.
She stood elegantly – straight body, chin up and one hand held her cane, which appeared to be made in mahogany. She must be really beautiful when she was my age. And I have to admit that whenever I am under her piercing gaze I felt chills running up and down my spine. Paksyet Ellie!
Her cold and icy demeanor vanished.
“Matthew?” She gasped, her eyes softened in an instant. Her eyes wandered about and saw Ms. Elena and Noel. There was warmth and longing and love and sadness in her eyes. Seryoso ba ‘tong nakikita ko?
Kuya Matt smiled warmly and nodded, buhat-buhat pa nga nito si Noel.
Tita Yolly then turned her head to Butler George and barked a command, “Prepare the meal, we have more guests than we had expected.” With that, she marched back in with her cane still clinking and clonking against the marble floor.
I think she’s not exactly cold-blooded as I thought she would be.
Sef ushered me to sit close to his aunt, sa harap ko naman si Miss Elena, Noel at Kuya Matt. Me, Sef and Enzo occupied the other side of the table. At syempre si Tita Yolly ‘yung pinaka nasa gitna. She’s the queen. Like a boss lang ang peg!
“Were you the one who made all these?” Tanong agad ni Enzo. He sounded rebellious and seemed immune to the queen’s presence. Haha.
Tita Yolly’s sharp eyes narrowed and snapped towards Enzo’s direction. “I didn’t.” She then said, her voice was crisp and clear. “You don’t eat anything I cook so I hired someone else to do it.”
