Sometimes, I couldn’t help but wonder… if Cinderella’s shoes fit her so perfectly, then why did it slip off her foot while she was running away? Was it just a trick – a hoax – to make the prince fall for her? Some fine strategy for a romantic gimmick? Or was it just the grander scheme of things? Or maybe… who knows, it could be just an old style of royal flirting. Haha.

Weird ko talaga mag-isip ano? Haha. Well, this was actually one of the many reasons why I, Eleonor Malicsi Dimaculangan, do not believe in fairytales. What? Cinderella even got herself a fairy godmother to make her love story possible. Pero sa totoong buhay, fairy godmothers do not exist!!

Di ba? Kahit noon pa, I’m pretty sure I made myself clear about this matter… What can I say? I’m a real sucker for fairytales!! Haha. 

I gave one creepy smile & saw myself reflected against the bathroom mirror. Siguro kung nasa mundo ako ng fairytales, ako siguro yung Evil Queen sa buhay ni Snow White… o kaya yung Evil Step Mother ni Cinderella o kaya si Ursula, yung malaking octopus, sa buhay ni Little Mermaid. Buwahahahaha. With this creepy, evil smile I have right now, I’m sure as hell I’d be a natural KONTRABIDA!! Hahahaha. Over qualified pa nga ata!! Bagay talaga sakin ee!! Kung nakikita niyo ko ngayon, siguradong sasang-ayon kayong lahat!! 

Yeah, I’m most likely to be like them…  siguradong mga ka-tropa ko na ang mga yun at ako ang LEADER NILA!! Haha. Kagaya nila, I inflict pain… ako yung panira… & most of all I HURT people – even those who are most important to me – kagaya ng ginawa ko kanina kay… MAX.

Napabuntong-hininga ako as I recalled the look on Max’s face right after our conversation. I swear I sawright through him… kaya hindi tuloy ako makatingin ng diretso sakanya… I was so afraid to see the pain – the pain that I’ve caused – that I’ve started!!

Sabihin niyo nga sakin, ano bang tamang gawin? Ano bang sinasabi sa mga ganoong klase ng sitwasyon? When your bestest friend, yung taong tinuring mong parang kapatid, parang KUYA, yung taong sobrang mahalaga sayo, yung KAHULI-HULIHANG TAO SA MUNDO NA AYAW MONG SAKTAN… just told you that if he were to be given 10 more seconds to live, he would spend it by saying how much he loves you!!

See, I am no expert in love or in any aspect of romances… haha, obvious ba? Pero alam ko kung ano yung ibig sabihin ni Max. Siguro nga, matagal ko ng alam… matagal ko ng nararamdaman yun… but I chose to ignore it… I chose not to read between the lines… coz’ I thought maybe… I was just getting ahead of myself.

ARGH!! ANAKSHUTANG ANIMALES!! TEKA NGA?? BAKIT KO SINISISI ANG SARILI KO??? ANO BANG INIISIP NI MAX?!?!?! I clenched my fist and was tempted to slam it on the marble sink. WHY WOULD HE SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT??? ANG TANGA NIYA!!! BAKIT AKO PA???? LECHUGAS!!!

I did the best I could… at least I told him that I love him too, didn’t I? Psssh. PAKER KA ELEONOR!!! PAKERRRR!!! Pero bakit? Tell me, meron bang mas madaling paraan para sabihin sa kanya? Yung hindi siya masasaktan?

MADAPAKER NAMAN KASI EE!! What we had was perfect… BAKIT KAILANGAN PA NIYANG… GULUHIN NG GANITO?

TEKA NGA!! HUWEYT POR JUAN MADAPAKING MINUTE ELYONOR!!! BAKA NAMAN NAHILO LANG SI MAX??? REMEMBER, GALING SA OPERASYON ANG KAIBIGAN MO!! NAKA-HIGH YUN SA SOBRANG DAMI NG GAMOT NA BINIGAY SAKANYA NG MGA DOKTOR!! MAYBE, HE WAS GOING TO TELL THAT TO SARA!! KASO IKAW TONG UNA NIYANG NAKITA… AT…  PERO SAGLIT…
