Y/N's Pov.

I groan slightly as I slowly open my eyes, my vision still a bit blurry. I sit up, rubbing the back of my head before noticing that I wasn't in my room. My eyes widen as I look around before remembering what had happened. Link... Vaati... The deal...

"Oh goddesses, I'm engaged to the wind sorcerer!" I exclaimed, covering my face with my hands.

"You called me?" I jump slightly as I look up, seeing Vaati standing next to the couch I was on, smirking slightly. I whimper quietly and back up to one end of the couch. I then feel something down on my right hand. I lift it up, seeing that the purple ring was on my ring finger.
"Do you like it? I made especially that color so that whenever you look at it, you'll think of me." Vaati says. I gulp and hesitantly nod, though I was lying of course. I try to pull the ring off, not feeling comfortable to wear it yet, though it wouldn't come off.
"Huh? Why won't it-"
"That ring has a spell on it as well that won't ever let you take it off. And as long as you wear it, you cannot leave the castle."
"Castle?" I ask.
"My castle, of course. The Wind Palace, where you are present in now."
"Oh." I respond, not really knowing what else to say. There was an awkward silence between us before I spoke up again. "How long was I asleep?"
"About an hour or so, give or take. I took the time to decorate your room." Vaati says with an evil smile.
"My... my room?" I tilt my head in confusion.
"What? Did you think that I would let my bride sleep here on the couch or even in that horrid dungeon? Why, I wouldn't even dream of such a thing." He holds out his hand to me, expecting me to take it. I look at his hand before looking back up at Vaati. After a while, I hear him grumble and pull his hand back, walking down one of the halls. I stand up quickly and walk after him, though make sure to keep my distance. He eventually stops in front of a room and opens the door, motioning for me to go inside. I enter the room and look at it. It was... just like the room back home at the castle. Home... It saddened me to even think those words.
"I hope it makes you feel more at home here." Vaati says, putting emphasis on the word home, making me tense up a bit. "Though, this living arrangement will only be temporary until we're married."

"Um... W-When is this wedding exactly?" I ask, worried.

"I won't tell you, but it won't be soon, I'll say that much." I sigh in relief when hearing that, though what he said next made me worry again. "Though I've already begun making preparations for our big day." I sudden feeling of dread began to build up in me. I knew that marrying him was inevitable, but I would at least try to keep it as far away from now. Maybe I could even find some way out of this... I shook away the thought, knowing that there was no escape.
"Anyways, enough about our marriage, who's hungry?" He asks. As I was about to respond, I hear my stomach growl, making me blush with embarrassment. Vaati chuckles.
"Come on then, let's get you something to eat, princess." He says as he walks out of the room, heading down the hallway. I hesitate for a moment before following after him, trying to keep my distance though. In the other room was a grand dining table, making me awe at the sight as it was just as large as the one back at my home. Home... I repeated those words in my head once again, feeling sad. Vaati pulls a chair out for me, and I sit down. Vaati grabs another chair and sits down at the other side of the table.
"What would you like to eat? Anything my princess wants, she will get." I look to him. Anything? I knew that he probably didn't mean my freedom would be one of them.
"Um... Maybe F/F?" (favorite food) I ask.
"F/F it is." Vaati claps his hands and some one-eyed bats, similar to the one that had attacked Link and me in the forest, only smaller, brought in the food and drinks for us. Vaati begins eating his food, while I only pick at mine. He seems to notice and raises an eyebrow.
"I thought you were hungry."
"I... um..."
"It's not poisoned if that's what you're thinking."
"Oh... okay." I reply as I slowly take a bite, even though that wasn't really what I was concerned about.
"Well?"
"It's delicious."
"Anything for my lovely fiancee." Vaati responds with a smile, though I only felt uncomfortable.
"Please don't call me that..." I reply, frowning. Vaati's smile then becomes a frown as well.
"Are you afraid of me?" I stop eating and look up at him as he asks me, and it was clear that I was a bit scared of the wind mage. Who wouldn't be if you're suddenly supposed to marry him? I hear him sigh.
"I don't blame you. After all, I, well, you know... kidnapped you and all. But you can hardly blame me for it." Vaati finishes with a smirk as he disappears from his seat. My eyes widen as I look around.
"You are a knockout!" He states as he appears behind me, making me yelp. "Has anyone ever told you that your eyes shine like the stars at night?"
"Well, I-"
"Or that your hair is a soft as rose petals." He continues, running his fingers through my H/L (hair length), H/C (hair color) hair.
"Please stop touching my hair-"
"Or that your skin is as fair as-"
"Stop!" I cried out, immediately covering my mouth from my outburst. Vaati stops his compliments and raises an eyebrow.
"Stop what?" He asks, confused as to why I was not enjoying his compliments.
"Just... stop touching me and complimenting me."
"Would you rather I insult you?" Vaati questions.
"No. Look, I'm flattered, but-"
"What? Not used to somebody calling you beautiful?" I stop as I have a flashback back to when Link and I were younger. He would always tell me how pretty and beautiful I am, and I would always blush with each compliment. Even now, well, before I was kidnapped, he still tells me that. Though... I didn't enjoy hearing it from the wind mage.
"Well, no, I have been-" I quickly cover my mouth. I hear Vaati growling behind me.
"Who else has called you that?" He asks, sounding very angry. "It was that green boy, wasn't it?" I slowly turn to him, seeing his red eyes glowing brightly with anger. I stay silent, not wanting to anger him any more than he already was. He then quickly grabs hold of my arms, his nails digging into my skin, making me squeak and whimper.
"You belong to me!! I never want you to mention that boy ever again! Am I clear?!" I feel tears form in my eyes as Vaati tightens his grip. For a split second, I thought I saw the sadness in the mage's eyes as he loosens his grip on me. I use that chance to quickly pull away from him, running out of the dining room and into my room, slamming the door shut as I ran in and collapsing on the bed, tears now streaming down my face.
"Link... I wish you were here."
