Vaati's Pov.

Ever since that day on the ice with Y/N, I had felt my heart practically swell up with happiness. That had probably been one of the best days of my life. In fact, it had made me so happy that my servants started to concern for my well-being since I wasn't being as harsh or demanding as I used to be. Though, something was different about today. Y/N hadn't come to eat this morning. I was confused at first and asked one of my servants to go get her. When they returned, they said that she told them that she wasn't hungry. Confused and now a bit worried as well, I stood up and quickly walked towards her room. As I reached it, I was about to knock on the door when I heard some crying coming from the inside. I slowly knocked on the door.
"Y/N? Are you in there?" I ask before I hear the crying stop for a moment.
"Y-Yes, come in." Her voice comes, and I enter the room. I frowned at the sight of seeing Y/N's tear-stained face.
"Y/N, what's wrong?" I ask, sitting down next to her on her bed. She wiped the tears from her eyes, shaking her head.
"It's nothing. I'm fine." She responds though I could tell that she was lying.
"Y/N, please tell me what's wrong so I can make you feel better." I say softly, placing my hands on her shoulders. She looks away from me.
"I can't. You'll only get mad at me, I know it..."
"I promise I won't Y/N. Just tell me and I'll do whatever I can to make you feel better." I assure her with a gentle smile on my face. Y/N sighs before looking back to me.
"I miss my family and my friends..." My eyes widen at her words.
"But we've been having so much fun here, I thought you staying here with me." I respond before it was my turn to look away from her. "Are you not happy here?"
"No! That's not it at all!" Y/N states. "I have enjoyed my time here with you, I really have, but even so... I miss my home..." She frowns sadly. The thought of Y/N being so sad saddened my own heart. I sigh, looking back to her.
"But if you leave, I'll be all alone." I say, to which Y/N shakes her head.
"I won't leave here forever. I'll come back, I promise."
"How do you know that you will? How do you know that your family won't try to keep you there with them?" I ask her, to which she looks down, knowing that I did have a point. I think for a moment before getting an idea. I snap my fingers and the gem at the center of my magic cap starts to glow before a hand mirror appears in my hand.
"Here Y/N." I say, handing it to her. She takes it and raises an eyebrow at me.
"It's a magic mirror, the Mirror of Vision, that will show you anything you wish to see." I explain to her. She looks to it and sighs.
"I'd like to see Hyrule kingdom please." She says. Within the mirror appears an image of the Castle Town. It seemed to be the same way it was before Vaati had attacked. A small smile graces her lips, and she looks up to me before hugging me, which surprised me.
"Thank you Vaati. It's not exactly what I wanted, but I'm still glad that I can at least see it." She says before placing a kiss on my cheek. My face turns a crimson red color from it, and my heart felt like it would burst right out of my chest.
"Y-Your welcome." I respond, placing a hand on where she had kissed my cheek. I smile as she looks back into the mirror and heads back to her room, letting her have some time to herself. I was mentally grinning, feeling nothing but happiness at that moment.

"I just got a kiss from the princess."
