Vaati's Pov.
I was by a window in my room, looking out at the cloud garden outside. Well, more specifically, I was looking at someone in the garden. My lovely fiance, Y/N, was playing with some of the creatures in the garden. I sigh and smile at the happy sight. Something now felt... different inside of me. After that hug at the garden, something changed in me. I had originally kidnapped the princess just because she was beautiful and I could use her to then take control of Hyrule, but now... there was so much more to her that I could see. The way her H/L (hair length) H/C (hair color) hair flowed in the breeze. The way her E/C (eye color) eyes sparkled like the stars. I feel my face burn up slightly, and I quickly shake my head.
"What is wrong with me?" I think aloud. "I, the Wind Sorcerer Vaati, am actually developing feelings for the princess?" As I said it out loud, it started to feel more like it was the truth. I had already been rather kind to her, more than to anyone else for that matter.
"I must be sick or something..." I mumble.
Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess, unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land.
My ears perk up as I hear sweet singing coming from outside. Curious, I went out there to see Y/N playing the harp that I had given her a while ago, singing a sweet melody, her eyes closed. Several of the creatures in the garden were sitting by her, also listening to the song. It was so calm, so peaceful, so beautiful... I found myself falling under her spell.
Oh youth, show the two whirling sails the way to the Light Tower...and before you a path shall open, and a heavenly song you shall hear.
I smile and take a step closer to her, but as I did, the animals saw me and got startled, running away. I sighed, figuring that this might happen since I was "evil." This also startles Y/N slightly as she stops playing her harp and looks to me, a look of surprise on her face. Her face then changes into a smile.
"Oh, hello Vaati. I didn't see you there."
"Where did you learn that song?" I ask out of the blue. Y/N looked at me, confused, for a moment.
"Well, my mother taught it to me a long time ago. She said that my ancestors used to play."
"It's a lovely song.." I say quietly, averting my gaze.
"Thank you, Vaati." She smiles, and I glance back to her. "You don't need to be over there. Come sit." She says, motioning next to her. I feel my heart speed up slightly as I slowly walk over and sit down next to her.
"Can you play that song again?" I ask.
"I'm not very good at it.." She says, looking down. I look at her and quickly lift her chin up so that we were face-to-face.
"Don't say that. You sang it beautifully. You should know that I don't say that to just anyone." Y/N's cheeks turn a light pink color as I say that.
"O-Oh, thank you." She responds, averting her gaze. It was only then that I noticed how close our faces were, my own cheeks turning red, and I quickly moved back a bit, letting go of her chin.
"Sorry..."
"No need to apologize." She gives me a warm smile back. "I'll play the song again if you want me too." I grin childishly and nod.
"Yes please." I say quickly and then Y/N begins to play her song again on her harp and sing to it. I smile and lay down, listening to the peaceful song. My eyes then widened as I came to the realization. I actually love Y/N...--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, yes I know the song is from Skyward Sword, but I like it, so I'm putting it in. Don't judge.
Also, VAATI'S GOT DEM FEELS!! X3
