Vaati's Pov.

For the following day, Y/N stayed in her room most of the time, though I wasn't as surprised this time, as she was probably looking in that mirror I gave her. I was wondering what she specifically she might be looking at, and I frowned as a thought crossed my mind. That boy in green, what's his name... Link, that's it. I have to admit that part of me felt jealous of that boy. It was clear that he loves Y/N, and Y/N probably loves him back too. And here I am now going to marry her myself.
'Maybe...' I shook the thought away. I was not going to let Y/N go to be with that Link-guy. It's not like she hates me now, so there is a chance that she might love me, right? I sigh, shaking my head. Even if she did care for me, there was no way that she'd feel for me the same way that I do for her.
"No matter, she'll marry me anyway." I say before thinking for a moment. I wanted to do something that might make Y/N like me more. I then grin as I get an idea and quickly head to Y/N's room. After I knock on the door, I hear Y/N's voice come from inside, saying that I could come in. And, as I thought, she was holding the mirror, but unfortunately, she put it down before I could see what she was looking at.
"Y/N, I have a surprise for you tonight." I tell her. She raises an eyebrow.
"A surprise? What is it?" I chuckle a bit and shake my head.

"That's the point of the surprise. Before dinner this evening, put on something nice." I said before quickly leaving her room to prepare for my surprise, leaving Y/N confused a bit, but she didn't question it.

*timeskip to later that evening*

I had gotten everything prepared for my surprise for Y/N. I was both excited and nervous. I just hoped that she would like it. I was standing at her front door, a bouquet of roses in my hand. I took a deep breath in and knocked on her front door.
"Y/N, are you ready?"
"Almost, give me a minute." She responds. I nod and stand outside her room.
"Alright, just give that girl the best time of her life and sweep her off her feet." I tell myself.
"Okay, I'm ready." I hear Y/N say and look to her as she walks out of her room. My eyes widen and my jaw drops at the sight of her. She was wearing an elegant F/C dress that made her look like an actual angel that had fallen from the skies.
"Um Vaati, are you okay?" Y/N's voice snaps me out of my trance.
"Am I dressed to fancy? I can change if you want." I immediately shake my head, taking her hand in mine.
"No!" I quickly say. "I mean... you look beautiful." I hold the roses by my face to hide my blush.
"These are for you by the way." I say, holding out the bouquet of flowers to her. I see Y/N's cheeks turn a light pink tint, and she smiles, taking the roses.
"They're beautiful. Thank you Vaati." She says, placing the bouquet in a vase in her room before heading back to me.
"So, why did you want me to dress like this for dinner tonight?" She asks.
"Because we're going to have dinner tonight somewhere special." I say and pull her close to me, my arms wrapped around her. "Hold onto me." Y/N nods and holds onto me tightly. I snap my fingers as a breeze wraps around us before we reappear in the forest.
"Okay Y/N, you can let go now, but keep your eyes closed."
"Why?" She asks, tilting her head as she looked up at me.
"That's part of the surprise." I say, smiling gently. She raises an eyebrow at first before closing her eyes. I wrap an arm around her waist, the other holding her hand as I lead her to a secret place.
"Can I open them?" I shake my head.
"No, not yet." I say before we step into a clearing. "Alright, now you can." As Y/N's opens her eyes, she gasps at the sight. We were standing in a large meadow filled to the brim with all kinds of flowers, with a gazebo in the center of it.
"So, what do you think?" I ask, looking to her. I could tell that she was in awe, but who wouldn't be when seeing a sea of blossoms growing in a field.
"This is the most incredible thing I have ever seen." She says. I smile softly and hug her.
"I'm glad you like it. We'll be having dinner here tonight." I say, taking her hand and leading her across the meadow to the gazebo, which was set up for a pair to eat together.
"Vaati, you didn't have to do this, you know." She says, looking up to me.
"Of course I did. I want to make you happy, Y/N. You mean so much to me." I say, blushing a bit from what I had just said, as does Y/N.
"T-Thank you." She responds with a gentle smile on her face. I pull out a chair to let her sit down by the table before sitting down at the other end. The two of us eat together, chatting and laughing from time to time with one another. Later, I snap my fingers as the wind begins to change, taking the shape of different instruments and playing a song. I smile and stand up, walking to Y/N and holding a hand out to her.

"Would you like to dance, my dear?" I ask. She giggles softly and nods, taking my hand.

"Alright."
