what do you wear to a date?
would it be casual-- formal? sophisticated? classy? minghao had absolutely no clue.
the last date he went on was about a year ago. and the guy ended up cheating on him, anyways.
so now that a decently good guy, physically and emotionally, was taking him out on an unknown date, he was in a state of mild panic.
wait, mild panic? no, no, no. he was completely and utterly freaking out.
"agh, wonwoo!" the tall male, who was sat on the corner of minghao's bed, hummed at the mention of his name. he didn't lift his eyes from his phone.
"what..." minghao sighs, sliding a hand down his face. "what do you wear on dates with mingyu?" this catches his friend's attention.
"uhm, i don't know. depends on the date." wonwoo replies dumbly.
the librarian glares before gazing back at his open closet. "he said we were going to a park, or something? and then getting coffee."
"coffee..." wonwoo stops himself from making a stupid reference, nodding. "then just wear like...a sweatshirt and jeans. simple."
minghao sighs. he begins to dig through his wardrobe, shuffling through sweaters and cardigans, before his fingers stop to grip at a white sweatshirt.
when he turns back around with the newly selected outfit, wonwoo is frowning. "anti-social social club? really?"
minghao smiles cheekily.
"sorry! i like this sweatshirt." he mumbles, softly running a hand down the cotton material.
"at least you're being yourself." wonwoo says, lightening up a bit. he sets his phone to the side. "you should get going though— he said to meet at two, right?" minghao gasps and nods, dashing towards the bathroom. this was going to be a long afternoon.

minghao had arrived at the park at around two-eleven. it wasn't a problem though, since jun wasn't there yet.
what if he didn't show up? maybe he forgot? or did he simply realize that he asked a librarian out, just a old bookworm, on a date? minghao assumes that the student regretted it already.
"hyung." a soft whispers from behind him. minghao jumps, literally, whisking around to face jun.
"h-hi! i mean hey, umm, hello, how are you—?"
the student laughs. his hands are clasped behind his back, but he moves one in order to intertwine the librarian's fingers with his own.
"i hope you're prepared...i've planned to make this date as cheesy as possible."
"as long as you don't use any more stupid pick up lines, i'm sure i'll be able to handle it." minghao smiles. jun giggles, raising minghao's hand in order to place a feather-like kiss onto his knuckles. minghao gags in fake disgust, but on the inside, he was kinda dying.
"i'll do my best."
and jun meant it— the longer he stared at minghao's light blue rimmed glasses, and his cute button nose, the student found himself wanting to impress the boy behind words.
