"your brother wants to meet me?"
jun nods, throwing an arm around minghao. "correct."
the librarian looks up from his work to stare at his companion. "why me? i'm just a frustrated bookworm."
"a cute one, though." junhui says with a laugh, attempting to drag minghao off the chair in order to properly cuddle him. minghao scoffs and weakly pushes his hands away.
"wow, what a flirt." the younger boy smiles, though. jun really is a dork.
the student hums, successfully pulling minghao off the chair and into a hug. due to the trip of a foot, the two end up falling onto a nearby couch in a fit of giggles. at this point the library's visitors were used to the cheesy pair constantly being after the other, but most were wondering how the hell these two hadn't put a ring on it yet.
well, at least on their current relationship.
"get off of me, you you big bear. you weigh a ton."
jun gasps in fake offense. "me? fat? sweetie, this is all muscle."
the look on junhui's face has the librarian laughing, playfully swatting at the other boy's head. "do you ever shush?"
smoothing back a strand of black hair, jun hums. "not when it comes to you--"
minghao stops him with an embarrassed kiss to the cheek.
jun freezes a little, reaching up to touch his face with a prominent blush. at least he shut up for once.
he looks down at minghao, who is avoiding the situation by staring off at something non-existent. half of the student wants to make a move, but the other half doesn't want to make things awkward.
but being the cocky daredevil he was, he went for the first option.
jun, a bit hesitantly, lifts his hand until his fingers brush against minghao's jaw. this brings the librarian's attention back. the student looks around to make sure no one is creepily watching, and continues to lessen the space between him and minghao. the fact that minghao is leaning in along with him makes something in jun's head spin.
his lips are so close and jun feels like he might just spontaneously combust.
before their lips can touch, a series of noises sounds from behind one of the shelves. jun tries to ignore it-- he really does-- but they just keep getting louder. both boys pull away and look towards the source, but as they turn, a yell is heard.
"shit-- they see us! abort mission! abort mission!"
jun frowns as he watches jisoo and chan stumble over each other in an attempt to run away. a dictionary ends up falling onto chan's foot, causing him to spit out a sentence full of curses and profanities. jisoo keeps screaming.
the two eventually dash out into the backroom, peeking out from behind the front desk every so often and whispering who knows what to each other.
when jun turns back around with an amused smile, minghao is watching him. there's such fondness in his gaze, a grin set on his lips and his eyes filled with joy. without realizing, jun cups his face and stares as well.
and when their lips meet in a gentle press, jun feels like he's on fire. not legitimately though. because being on fire isn't good--
they kiss for a while. jun doesn't want to pull away and breathe, he wants to savor this closeness. he knows he has to, and when he does, he honestly doesn't regret it. because he's met with closed eyes, soft breaths, and a flushed face.
"i'd love to meet your brother," minghao finally mumbles, eyes still shut. jun smiles, running his thumb gently over the librarian's face. the book he was reading is on the floor, long forgotten.
"he can't wait." the student replies, eyes still skimming over this fucking angel in front of him.
it's minghao, this time, who pushes their lips together, loving the feeling of being lazily lip-locked in the comfort of a library.
they kiss and kiss and kiss, caught up in each other, infatuated and in the moment, not wanting to stop anytime soon.
until they hear the dramatic cries from behind the help desk, that is.
