After running in the car, you all sped off, not waiting long before you were outside his house. Clamouring out, you were both laughing and shouting, Carol having to remind the two of you to be quiet. You both went running into K.O's room were he showed you all of his pow cards and posters (mostly of Mr Gar).

"Mr Gar is the greatest hero! He's a level 11 and I even get to see him sometimes because he's my boss!" He grinned, eyes lighting up with passion as he went on about Mr Gar.

"Yeah! It's cool he's your boss." You replied. K.O looked at you for a moment before gasping.

"You like Mr Gar right?!" He asked. You nodded, not sure what he was getting at.

"Why don't you work at the plaza?!" He asked, making you stop in your tracks. It was a nice thought but you might not have the free time or motivation to right now.

"I-I...don't know. I think about it." You shrug. K.O nodded.

"Well, you're always welcome. It'd be great for business and company. We always have adventures and fight evil robots it's really cool!" He assured you. You smiled at the friendly support.

"So...what about Rad and uhh...Enid, was it?" You asked, straining to remember their names.

"Oh Yeah! They're great friends and I'm sure they'd be really excited to have you as a new friend!" He chuckled. You hadn't even considered getting the job and you already felt welcomed.

"Aww. Thanks K.O that's sweet." You giggled. His cheeks caught a slight red and he chuckled.

"I just want you to feel welcome." He admitted.

After awhile of chatting and playing video games, you both decided it was late enough and that you both needed to get to bed. As you rolled out your sleeping bag, you felt eyes on you. You turned to see K.O staring at you, confused.

"What?" You asked.

"I-I uh...I don't know I just thought you were going to sleep on my bed?" He mumbled, his cheeks going redder by the second.

"O-Oh! Well if you don't mind it then sure." You shrugged. He smiled as you moved your sleeping bag onto his bed.

You both got into bed and turned off the light. Immediately he asked you if you were still awake. You chuckled, saying yes and both starting to talk again. It was amazing how you two could talk for hours and still have something to say afterwards. You kept chatting until eventually you heard K.O snoring slightly making you realise how long you both had been talking. You both had gotten into bed at 11:00pm...it was now 3:00am. Smiling lightly you closed your eyes and rolled over, your back now facing K.O.

...

Stirring, your eyes opened slightly to see the time. 5:00am. You'd only been asleep 2 hours. It was still dark out, the only indication of life anywhere was the pterodactyls outside screeching quietly. You shifted to see if K.O was up and to your surprise he was gone from the bed. Rolling back over, a dark silhouette at the end of the bed caught your eye. It blended with the darkness really well, enough so that you couldn't make much out. All you could make out was long messy hair, spiked wristbands and a menacing grin. A small chuckle erupted from silhouette and instantly you realised who it was. Your heart dropped.

"T.K.O?" You whispered lowly.

"Hehe...miss me?"

You felt sweat form on your brow. He was probably back for revenge or something.

"Why are you here? How'd you get back?!" You questioned. He seemed to look at you like you were stupid.

"K.O is much more weak and vulnerable in his sleep. It was an effortless take over." He shrugged. You furrowed your brow. If he'd been able to do that before, why do it now?

"S-So what did you come out for now? For revenge?" You asked, your voice slightly shaky. He smiled, walking around the bed frame and climbing in next to you. Your heart was racing.

You were unable to move, fear pinning you down in your position. He slipped under the covers and you were shaking slightly. He was definitely going to kill you. To your surprise, though, he turned toward you and wrapped his arms around you making you flinch. He pulled you toward him, settling his head just under your chin and above your shoulder. Maybe he was here to kill you...maybe he was here for no reason other than to see your fear.

"Your heart is racing...you're scared aren't you?" He teased, making your face go red.

"N-No."

"You are. You're shaking." He pressed on. You sighed and closed your eyes again. Maybe if you got him to sleep, K.O would come back. You tried to relax though found you couldn't. T.K.O just had this kind of aura that made you feel panicked. Taking deep breaths, you closed your eyes and focused on your heartbeats. After while, you noticed that the purple wrist bands had gone back to their normal red and you rolled over to see K.O, holding you tightly and snoring lightly. Sighing with relief, you got up and decided just to wait until he got up. How long had T.K.O just been watching you sleep, waiting for you to wake up? Either way you didn't feel too good about falling back to sleep, especially because of your brief encounter.

After an hour, you could hear Carol coming up the stairs and you quickly laid down, shutting your eyes as you pretended to sleep. You panicked as you hear her come closer and tried to think of any sort of sleeping position. Nothing came to mind at first. Ending up in an awkwardly angled position, you shut you eyes and the door swung open.

"UP AND AT 'EM KIDDOS IT'S MORNING!" Carol beamed, hands on her hips and standing in the doorway dressed in her pyjamas.

There was a groan from next to you and K.O sat up, eyes half lidded. There was a slight bagginess around his eyes and he looked exhausted. T.K.O was obviously wearing him out to a point of passing out by the looks of things. You sat up next and tried to look like you had just woken up.

"We have to get down to the Bodega (Y/n), but if you want me too I can drop you home." Carol offered, leaning on the door frame with a friendly smile.

"No that's fine. I'll tag along if it isn't a problem." You said, swinging your legs around the side of the bed and standing up.

K.O's head had already hit his pillow again. It was 6:00am and he had to go to work after having 2 hours of sleep. Carol walked over to the bed and scooped him up into her arms, carrying him out of the room. As soon as the door closed, you got changed and walked downstairs, coming into their kitchen to see K.O now awake (well, as awake as he could manage) and dressed and Carol setting out breakfast. You all ate and left. The car ride was more loud than breakfast, K.O still prodding at the idea of you working at Gar's.

"Maybe." You replied, gazing out the window. You were thinking about it but you weren't exactly pouncing at the idea of working 9 'till 5 or even earlier in this case.

Staggering out the car, you and K.O said goodbye to his mom and made your way to the Bodega, both chatting and laughing already.
