K.O x Reader x TKO!

Getting out the house was the hardest part of your day. With you hero hating dad and siblings, it would obviously be a challenge to get out wearing your uniform. Still, you were up for a challenge and gently closed your bedroom door behind you.

The factory was huge and had many metal pipes that intertwined and twisted away making you slightly disoriented. It was like a maze. Having a metal floor didn't help either, every single step making a loud bang. Luckily, the sound of metal gears and steam from machinery drowned most of it out. You started with a small sprint around the place. No robots yet. Skidding around a corner, you saw your dad and instantly bolted the other way only to find an Ernesto in you way. Groaning, you looked over the edge of the platform you were on only to be met with the sight of a steep drop. Of course your room just had to be on the top floor. Quickly sliding off your Gar's Bodega vest, you tucked it under your arm and walked back down the hallway. As you walked down the hall you accidentally brushed arms with your dad who stopped in his tracks.

"(Y/n)! Where are you off too so early?" He smiled, picking you up and hugging you. Trying your best too keep the uniform hidden and sigh and hug him back.

"Just...getting air." You mumbled.

"Alright sweetie. Don't be too late back." He muttered, setting you down and continuing to walk down the hallway. Letting out a sigh of relief you ran around the place before finally finding a door that led outside. You crossed the road and sprinted to Gar's Bodega. Almost late.

"Good morning (Y/n)." K.O smiled. You felt a weight on your chest lighten with his voice. You slipped on your vest and sighed.

"Morning." You mumbled with a weak smile. Almost instantly K.O could tell something was off. Adverted gaze, different standing position and more importantly your face that was missing it's signature smile that had been replaced with a weirdly off one.

"You ok (Y/n)?" He asked, concern laced into his words. This snapped you back into your old mood.

"Yeah, yeah. Just stayed up a bit late." You lied, a small smile on your face.

"Are you sure?" He glared suspiciously. You nodded.

As soon as you had nodded, he started to repeat the question throughout the day. That was until the huge crash outside had interrupted his constant concern. You all rushed outside as the store went into lockdown. Though, when you looked at what had caused the huge crater, you felt your blood run cold. Out of the BoxMore box burst Shannon and Darrell. You went to go back to the store to hind only to find all the doors and windows firmly shut and plated with metal. Thinking on your feet, you caught sight of a different store that wasn't locked and rushed inside.

"I can't just leave them out there..." you thought. Your eyes darted around the store, eventually landing on a [Favourite animal] mask. That would do.

"IT IS ME, SHANNON! HERE TO DESTROY YOUR STUPID PLAZA!" Shannon cackled. K.O, Rad and Enid got into fighting stance just as you came tumbling out he store. You joined them and Darrell snorted.

"Who's [Animal] girl?" He mocked. K.O looked at you, dumbfounded, why were you hiding behind a mask?

"(Y/n)?" He asked quietly, making sure it was you. You shook your head. Shannon and Darrell would be able to hear.

"Who cares Darrell?! Let's just do what we do best..." Shannon smiled wickedly, her legs shifting and buzz saws replacing them. "...destroy!"

Shannon lunged for you immediately, dogging just in time to feel the air rushing past your face and giving you a burst of adrenaline. You caught yourself from your swift dodge and started to run, attempting to get more space for some sort of non deadly attack. This was your sibling after all. The [animal] mask was loose making you worry, your hand having to hold it up and making you less versatile than usual. You could hear the sound of metal being crushed and looked around to see Shannon pinned down by Rad. As you were looking you didn't notice your brother sneaking up on you.

"(Y/N)! Behind you!" Enid called out. You quickly looked around just in time to see your bother in mid air ready to swing. Activating your power, you threw a hand out and used [ability] on him. He quickly crashed the the ground and your heart skipped a beat.

"I should probably stick to dodging or trying to not use [ability]...it's not like two people can have the same power."

Turning on your heel, you ran back to Enid and K.O. Enid ran to where you used to be and tackled Darrel while K.O looked at you in awe, his cheeks flushed a little red.

"W-Wowie (Y/n)...that wAS AMAZING!" He cheered, throwing an arm around your neck, you laughed, wrapping your arm back around his until you felt a rush of cold air. Your hand was gone.

There goes the mask.

"(Y/N)?!" Shannon cried. Rad skidded past you due to Shannon punching him off of her.

"Wait...did you say (Y/N)?!" Darrel wheezed from under Enid's boot. Gently pushing K.O away you froze.

"I-I...uh...uM...bYE." You turned and ran to the alleyway. You could hear your name being called but still ran anyway. Knowing what a snitch Darrel was you could technically count yourself dead as of now. Ducking behind a dumpster, you could hear them being chased by the others and you felt your throat close up.

"(Y/n)?! Where are you?" Shannon called out. "C'mon! I'm your big sis you can tell me anything!"

"YEAH SO TELL HER WHY YOU'RE HANGING OUT WITH THESE DWEEBS SO SHE CAN TELL ME!" Darrel whined loudly.

There was the familiar crunch of metal and Shannon's head came rolling over to you. You shrieked and she returned the noise as you kicked her head away.

"Hey (y/n)...you okay buddy?" Rad asked, scooping you up into his arms. You didn't know how to react. No you're not. You're not okay. You can't just go home and act like everything is the same. One of them is bound to tell him about what they saw.

"Y-Yeah...just a little shaken. It was my first robot fight." You lied. Rad smiled, ruffling your hair.

"Well you did great for your very first!" He beamed setting you down. "The plaza should be off of lockdown by now. We can all go back and have a lunch break."

You silently nodded. As soon as you both walked in K.O ran up to you with his million questions.

"(Y/N)! ARE YOU OKAY? WHAT WAS THAT? HOW DO THEY KNOW YOUR NAME? IS THAT WHY YOU WORE THE MASK? WHY-" To your relief, Enid's hand slipped over K.O's mouth and he stopped.

"Cool it little guy." She muttered, slowly releasing her hand. He sighed.

"(Y/n)...w-why did Shannon call herself your big sis?" He asked, shooting Enid looks as he was cautious of her hand. Your lips formed a tight line and you groaned. "I-It's okay. You don't need to tell us."

"No, no. It's fine..." You muttered.

"So...truth is..." you started. Everyone leaned in, eager for a surprise.

"Boxman...may or may not be my...dad." You winced.

"WHAT?!" Rad gawked. "LORD BUTTMAN IS YOUR DAD?!"

"No way!" Enid gasped.

"THAT'S TERRIBLE!" Screamed K.O. "It's not that bad." You retaliate.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'NOT THAT BAD'?! WHAT IF HE FINDS OUT ABOUT YOU BEING AT THE BODEGA AND HE MAKES YOU QUIT AND YOU CANT HANG OUT WITH ME EVER AGAIN A-AND-" Your saviour, Enid's hand came back to shut him up as Carol strolled in.

"K.O buddy, time to go home." She chimed sweetly with a smile, not realising how upset he was.

"mOMMY!" He cried, jumping into her arms. Concern suddenly flashed on her face and she gasped.

"K.O what's wrong?!" She frowned. He started to explain through garbled crying and sniffling until his mother shut him up. "Just tell me when we get home."

"Hey (y/n)! You need a ride back to your mom's?" She asked. You sighed.

"No." K.O seemed to wail at the response making Carol hastily say goodbye and leave with you. She eyed you as you crossed the street and disappeared into BoxMore.
