//Your POV//

tink...tink...thunk-

Your eyes widened in surprise as your finger hovered over a segment of wall you'd been tapping. After a whole night of mindlessly trying to find an exit you found something hollow in the wall. You were so happy you could barley move to get out - which you acknowledged was a bit stupid. Flitting your eyes to the small screws in the corners of the metal plated wall, you started to lightly fumble at them, trying to latch onto the edges so you could gently unscrew them. After all, K.O had never showed up as he said he would so you'd have to do this alone. After awhile of hurting your fingertips by pressing them into dull metal, the last one of the screws clattered to the floor. You gently pulled away the metal sheet to find a series of wires and space around them. The walls were hollow enough for you to get through! Looking around the room and listening hard for any sounds, you gently stepped into the cramped space.

Uncomfortably, you shuffled between the wires and the cold metal wall, your only company being the small humming of electricity and...them. But still, you pressed on. Though as you got further down the wall, you found a sound getting louder, other than the wires.

Eventually the sound reached its peak.

"Whimpering?" You quizzed.

It sure sounded like it. The low noise of sniffles and sighs between soft garbled sobs. You pressed your ear against the metal, trying to recognise what was going on. Robots couldn't cry.

"(Y-Y/n)..."

"K.O!?" You gasped a little too loud as you instantly found your hands covering your mouth. The crying wavered before quietly dissolving away.

K.O really did come to get you. Your stomach twisted. How could you get to him without being noticeable...?

Well you didn't consider there to be one.

With one swift motion you slammed against the metal plate and came bursting into your old room. K.O sat in front of you, ropes hugging him tightly as he was lent against your dad's signature metal restraints. They must of had a change of heart and let him down. K.O's watery eyes widened as you grabbed him by the ropes and yanked him back, grabbing the metal plate on the way and slamming it against the wall, popping it back into place.

"(Y-Y/n)! I-I'm so sorry I-"
You gently threw your hand over his mouth and waited.

"What's all the commotio-"
"DADDY! K.O IS GONE!"
"I WAS GONNA SAY THAT!"
"NO YOU-"

"SILENCE! FIND HIM YOU NIM WITS! AND SHANNON, GO CHECK ON (Y/N)."

You stiffened. That didn't give you a lot of time to get out. You pulled your hand away from K.O's mouth and worked on his ropes. Eventually they fell.

"There. Now come on let's get going." You demanded quietly, clasping K.O's hand in yours only for him not to move. "C'mon, what's wrong?"

You turned only to see K.O still crying.

"I-I couldn't even s-save you..." He sniffled looking shamefully off to the side. Your heart sank.

"H-Hey it's fine! Look: let's get out of here and then you can save me later, ok?" You sighed, started to sweat at the thought of being caught. He nodded and you both started to wander down through the jungle of wires.

5 minuets passed and you saw a light.

"Hey, I think that's an exit!" You whispered looking back to K.O with a smile. His face turned straight.

"I'll check if it's safe!" He volunteered, trudging forward without hesitation. You thought about stopping him but seeing how upset he was earlier you decided this would cheer him up.

He led you to the small vent shaft that the light was flooding through. He went to kick it and the cover popped off with ease. Though his action soon got to him and he yelped, holding his foot.

"Quick let's g-"
"(Y/N)! WHERE ARE YOU?!" A voice boomed. You and K.O shared a worried glance.

There was a loud alarm and K.O ducked, crawling through the vent out of fear. You saw a cover sliding down around the walls and gasped. You were frozen. Suddenly you were dragged out into the sun, the cover just shutting by your feet as BoxMore went into lockdown. You caught your breath from the shock and smiled as relief and K.O's arms wrapped around you.

"I told you K.O! You saved me!" You laughed. K.O smiled and hugged you tighter.

"I'm just glad we got out of there in one piece!" He beamed. There was a cluster sudden screeches.

"K.O!(Y/N)!"

You both turned to see Rad, Enid, Mr Gar and Carol all stumbling over to the both of you. Enid and Rad slid to your side while Carol and Mr Gar crashed into K.O, squeezing him tightly.

"Are you okay?!" Rad asked, gripping your shoulders and checking for injuries.

"You had Rad worried sick." Enid joked lightly, making Rad scoff and deny it. "But seriously are you hurt at all."

You let her know you weren't hurt and that so far you felt fine. Mr Gar came to you next after Rad shuffled over to K.O.

"Are you okay? Did Boxman do anything to you? You had us all worried sick!" Mr Gar stammered in his usual gruff voice. You gently shook your head. Gar then leans forward and wraps you in his arms. "I'm glad your safe."

You felt your eyes water. Is this what it really felt like?

Carol rushed over to you and hugged both you and Gar.

"You are never going near BoxMore again young lady!" She sniffled, softly sliding you away from Gar.

"But where am I...?"

"Well I'm sure K.O wouldn't mind a roommate!"

K.O's eyes lit up. "YOU MEAN IT MOMMY?!"

Carol chuckled and nuzzled K.O as she hugged the both of you. You couldn't believe she'd offered you a place to stay! Mr Gar called off the work day. No way everyone was working after the shock and relief they went through. So for the rest of the day you settled in with K.O, Carol and Mr Gar. Well that was until there was a stern knock on the door.
