"It's been a month..." you thought solemnly, "...I really should tell him."

Walking to school you swallowed thickly, palms sweating as your anxiety spiked. You couldn't quite focus on what K.O was talking about as you both walked down the desolate street. Your mind just had too much bouncing around in it to be paying any attention.

"...and then Enid got a letter that...are you listening?" He stopped and grabbed you lightly by the wrist. Suddenly snapping back to reality your thousand yard stare settled on him.

"Oh uh...sorry K.O. I wasn't listening." You confessed, turning back to walk before K.O yanked you back.

"What's wrong? You've been really distant lately." K.O asked, a frown forming on his usually cheerful face.

"Oh, I'm fine." You mumbled, your words tipping out a bit too fast and not as convincing as it should sound. You turned to walk again only to be yanked back and out of sheer panic, shouted, "I'M FINE, REALLY! NOW COME ON WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!"

You didn't mean to holler. Or to storm off. In fact, your stomach twisted painfully in guilt for shouting. Your cheeks darkened. You didn't have to shout. He was just asking if you were okay. And you were making good time with getting to school. Managing to catch a glimpse at K.O's face made you feel worse. He looked confused and embarrassed. Still, you powered on, promising yourself to apologise once you had claimed control of your nervousness and gotten hold of your nerves.

Little to no time passed before you and K.O were stood outside the gates and making your way inside, loud chatter coming from the playground of kids and parents waiting to drop off their children. Walking in you sensed K.O drifting away from your side, looking up to discover Dendy jogging over. You felt your mood sour more and your mind cloud.

"I bet she will take advantage of my success and take K.O for herself." You frowned. As much as you wanted to believe Dendy was a good friend, you couldn't let go of what you had overheard coming back from the bathroom.

"Hello K.O! (Y/n)..." She greeted with a smile. A forced one, you suspected.

Returning pleasantries, you all walked into school. The sight of Dendy clinging to K.O in an attempt to slowly inch him away from you stung. Though you found it more insulting that she thought you weren't noticing rather than the actual act of her dragging him away. You rolled your eyes spitefully. Though thought your anger you felt a pinch of sadness.

"I wouldn't blame her." You silently grimaced.

The expectance letter for P.O.I.N.T sat in the bottom of your bag, slightly crumpled from how quickly you had shoved it in there.

Since the day it had arrived you had dreaded telling K.O, or at least before Carol had to explain why you where leaving, before he found out himself. You could only dread how he'd react. Or they. The thought of T.K.O popping out to share his opinion on the matter wasn't too appealing if you were honest.

Sighing, you slumped into your chair and rested you head on your desk, even the surrounding air seeming to weigh down on you.

K.O must of noticed your mood because his face seemed to contort into worry when he faced you.

It was lunch and you didn't touch what was in your bag making K.O stare. He didn't want to bother you and your sour mood but he couldn't help seeing you this way.

"H-Hey...are you okay?" He mumbled leaning closer so your conversation was out of earshot of Dendy who was typing away at her keyboard.

You didn't reply, not even having the energy to move your jaw.

"Do you not like the sandwich my mommy made? We can trade if you'd like." He offered a warm smile looking at you. You sighed.

"K.O I need to talk to you." You mumbled.

//K.O's P.O.V//

She took my hand and lead me away to the back of the school. Maybe she wanted a hug or kiss but was too shy? Or maybe-

"K.O something came in the mail..." She almost whispered.

My mind jumped to boxman. But she didn't look angry.

"Boxman?" I barked regardless.

"No. A-And keep it down please." She sighed.

I watched as she pulled out a piece of crumpled white paper out of her pocket. Flattening it she held it out for me and I slowly reached for it. My stomach twisted as my eyes slid across the words.

"We are proud to inform you that P.O.I.N.T has excepted your application..."

"You will be picked up on Friday."

Tears pricked my eyes.

"(Y/n)...today is Friday."

She grimaced. I tackled her in a hug.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner? There's so much we haven't done! So much we haven't see-" My wail was cut off by her hand.

"I'll only be gone for 6 months." She smiled weakly.

"SIX MONTHS?" I cried. She sighed wrapping me in a hug.

"They'll pass before you know it." She grinned.

I wiped some tears away before I noticed the ominous silence in the back of my head. T.K.O was strangely quiet today.

"I'll just go visit him!" I thought.

After watching K.O wipe away some tears he went still, zoning out with a distant stare. Slightly confused you called his name and he snapped back to reality.

"Oh haha... sorry!" He apologised bashfully. He went quiet for a second. "We should get out of here."

"Out of here?" You echoed. "School doesn't end for another 3 hours."

"I know but..." he trailed off. You assumed it must of been important especially if K.O of all people proposed the idea of skipping school.

"It's fine I'll go." You smiled reassuringly. He sighed but you couldn't tell if he was relieved or worried. Still, you didn't question it so you both shuffled over to the gate.

"How are we even going to get over the gate?" You muttered. He frowned getting on his tiptoes and trying to reach but failed.

"Uh...why don't we..." He trailed off before looking at his hand and stopping. His eyes became a dark shade and his hand gave off flecks of purple power. He reeled back.

"W-WAIT K.O!-" You shouted. Though he wasn't listening. The gate crunched around his fist and clattered to the ground. "Way to bring attention to us!"

He noticed your scorn and took your hand, running out of the school. Now whenever you spoke he wouldn't answer. He just kept running. But eventually your legs have out from the ignored complains of being out of breath.

"See -huff- now we need -huff- to stop." You proclaimed. He looked distant. Though his eyes suddenly shifted to you and he lifted you over his head. "What- K.O! Put me down!"

He started running.

"K.O why won't you talk to me?!" You frowned.

He kept running.

"Are you angry at me?"

He ran faster.

"K.O? K.O?"

His grip tightened.

"K.O? K.O put me down n-"

"THAT'S NOT MY NAME." He roared back. You felt your complaint bunch up in your throat, taken aback by the scream.

"T-T.K.O?" You asked softly. By now you had passed the plaza and he was heading into the forest. "T.K.O where are we going?"

"..."
