You stepped into your new room. Empty, dark, plain and more importantly, foreign. You slept in this room once every two weeks. It barely felt like home at all. As you unpacked the stuff you felt your heart throbbing. You had to wait two weeks to see her again. Your room was almost done when your dad strolled in.

"(Y/n) sweetie, it's time for dinner." He smiled. You glanced at him and sighed.

"One moment I'm almost done." You chimed, pulling out a poster K.O gave you. It was Mr Gar. You put it on the wall, just above your bed and walked over the door. Just as you went to leave your dad left the door frame and grabbed the poster. "What are you-"

He ripped it off the wall.

"DAD!" You shouted. He frowned.

"What? You know very well this is a non-hero household!" He whined, almost as if you were in the wrong. You groaned, walking out and waiting for him.

"Your brothers and sister are very excited about you moving in you know." He beamed, taking your hand and leading you to their room were they were waiting. "They even cooked dinner for you."

You got to a door and he gently pushed it open. There sat your siblings, Shannon, Darrell and Raymond. Once they saw you their eyes lit up and they all leapt from their seats. You only got to take a few steps in before the ground beneath you disappeared. Shutting your eyes and tensed as you were held in metal arms.

"OUR LITTLE SIS IS HOME!" Shannon squealed. You opened your eyes as she swung you about. She crushed you in a hug and suddenly you were ripped away from her.

"Hello my darling little sister!" Raymond's voice rang out. You giggled as he threw you into the air and caught you again. Darrell was the next one to come racing over. He snatched you away from Raymond and hugged you tightly.

"I missed you (Y/n)!" Darrell beamed as you hugged him back. If you were being honest, your brothers and sister were the best part of your visits. As you were gently set down, you caught sight of your dad leaving.

"Where are you going?" You asked. He halted in the door frame and turned slowly.

"Umm...important villain stuff." He mumbled, a small smile growing on his face. You frowned and walked over to the table. Why would you even expect him to join a "family dinner". The door shut loudly behind him and you turned to Shannon.

"So...what's "important villain stuff" Shan?" You asked. She gave you a devilish grin.

"Destroying the plaza!" She exclaimed manically. "Plaza?" You thought. You decided to leave it at that and just have dinner. Darrell was in one of his signature costumes and Raymond looked perfect as usual. You all sat down and Raymond looked at you with a grin.

"So, my darling sister, has anything interesting happened while you were away?" He asked. You thought about telling them about the job but you put it off. It was, after all, a hero store. Though, you could tell them about K.O, couldn't you? What harm could it possibly do?

"I made a new friend." You shrugged, picking at your food. Darrell gasped.

"Who is it? Are they nice? Are they a villain?" He kept hitting you with a barrage of questions until you laughed.

"His name is..." You trailed off. Now that you lived here you had new standards to live up to. You could no longer gawk over heroes with your hero mom or talk about being one of them. Now you were with villains. "...[Villain Name]"

"That sounds very evil! I love them already!" Shannon beamed, clapping her hands together. "Are they your favourite villain?"

Before you could answer, Raymond butted in. "What kind of question is that. We all know the the devilishly handsome Raymond is her favourite!" He swooned, dramatically throwing his head back and putting his arm to his head. You giggled at his antics and kept eating.

"Whatever Ray." You sighed with a smile.

The rest of dinner was just questions and laughter, you eventually getting tired and saying goodbye and leaving. You wandered the halls of the factory. It was so huge that you started to get lost within the place. You passed a room where you could hear faint angry muttering and you gently pushed the door open to find your dad leaning up against the window, peering through the blinds.

"You alright old man?" You asked. He jumped at the sudden voice but turned around with a smile.

"Sweetheart! Why aren't you in bed?" He asked softly. You rolled your eyes and walked up to his desk.

"Your place is so big. I'm not sure where my room is. Anyway- what are you grumbling about?" You frowned.

"Those rotten kids across the street! With their friendship a-and their niceness it just- Ugh!" He started to angrily babble on about how much he hated the "kids across the street". You didn't think you were going to get much out of him so you looked for yourself.

K.O, Rad and Enid we're outside laughing and messing with each other. They all must've had a later shift than you.

"They can't be that bad, can they?" You mumbled. Your dad gasped, holding a hand to his chest.

"Did I not raise you right?!" He asked, almost offended. You cocked a brow, not sure what he was on about. He caught onto your confusion and groaned.

"Heroes are a menace! All they do are make friends and interfere with villains! What has your mother been teaching you?!" He growled. Sighing, you rolled your eyes and went to leave.

"Goodnight." You muttered.

"Goodnight sweetie!" He beamed, clueless about your distaste. It took you awhile to find your bedroom again, but you eventually got there. You pulled the covers over your head and waited for the next day.

...

Your mom never did tell you about the deal with your dad, did she?
