The start of the day seemed as slow as ever; no one had come in, Rad and Enid where just laying around and you and K.O were by the POW card machine as usual. Rad kept staring at you until he spoke up.
"Y'know kid, you cant just hang around here. It's for business sake." He shrugged, eyes half lidded as he laid in a box, shifting his gaze to the ceiling.
"You can get a job here if you want but I wouldn't recommend it. You don't want to work in retail kid. Trust me." Enid yawned, rocking on her chair. You glanced to K.O.
"What should I do?" You whispered. K.O smiled at you.
"Well, have you thought about working here yet or are you still not sure?" K.O asked. He really wanted someone new to work with- even speaking on the behalf of someone else. "You would be able to hang around without interrupting, and if you want I'll help you with work."
"I...I'm not sure. How do I even get a job here?" You mumbled, your hand reflexively going to the nape of your neck.
"Oh! Well you just ask my mom. She'll tell Mr Gar to hire you!" He beamed, hands going to his hips.
"Right. So where does your mom work?" You asked. His eyes lit up and he gently took your hand, running out the store.
"GUYS I'M GOING TO TAKE (Y/N) TO MY MOM I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!" He shouted as he ran. You looked up and caught a glimpse of Rad and Enid, smiling to each other.

I got up and strolled over to Enid.
"I call best man." I chuckled to Enid. She gave a light laugh in response.
"Those two are so cute together. It's a shame though..." She trailed off. A shame? How?
"What?" I asked. What shame could those two cinnamon buns have?
"It's just a shame that T.K.O is around, you know? It could ruin what they have." Enid sighed, propping up her feet on the counter.
"Well, she's already seen him right? And she's still here." I replied. It couldn't be that bad.
"I guess you're right." She muttered, knowing my response.
"Well, duh! I'm always right." I laughed proudly, giving my signature cocky smile. I saw her grimace at me and I smiled wider.
"Well then I call bridesmaid." Enid chuckled, resting her head on her hand. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of the two being together. They were just so cute. Speak of the devils, the two came rushing back in, "(Y/n)" holding a blue jacket. They must of still been out of crop tops. Following after them was Mr Gar, flustered and red in the face. He stopped and cleared his throat, the redness going down.
"R-Rad, Enid, this is your new co-worker, (Y/n)." He mumbled. She smiled lightly and I smiled back. I had to mess with her. K.O looked overjoyed and Enid gave a smile.
Mr Gar was quick to leave and K.O and (Y/n) instantly ran off together. "They're so cute." I muttered under my breath as Enid giggled lightly.

I can't believe I get to work with my new best friend now! We both blubbered on about how excited we were to be fighting robots and training to be heroes. We walked around and I talked about the store and customers and (Y/n) seemed to be enjoying it so far. The day ended quicker than it started and before I knew it I was saying goodbye to her. At least she'd be in for work tomorrow.

As soon as I got home, my mom was waiting for me at the door, a suitcase tucked under her hip. I looked at her, confused. Her hair was slightly messy, her cheeks swollen and red and her eyes a slight pink. What...?
"I know what you're thinking..." She sighed. I could feeling the thick tension hanging in the air.
"But I visited him really recently so why...?" I couldn't finish my sentence as questions racked my brain.
"I know, but your father keeps getting impatient. He doesn't like waiting the full 2 weeks." She muttered. I felt like crying.
"I don't want to go to him!" I growled, emotions spilling over.
"I know. I can't stand him either. I can't stand your brothers and sister always coming around as well. All they do is wreck the place." She whimpered. I felt bad. "Your dad is going to be over in 20 minuets. I've already packed your stuff."
I furrowed my brows as my eyes caught sight of more cases behind her. "Why do I need so much?" I asked. I glanced at her to see her on the edge of tears. "M-Mom?!"
Without saying a word she kneeled down and wrapped me in her arms. I felt my own cheeks become wet. She pulled herself away.
"Promise me you'll be good, okay?" She smiled, tears running down her face. I chocked on a sob caught in my throat.
"I don't understand." I mumbled.
"Your dad is going to have you move in. I'm only going to see you every two weeks..." she sobbed. My whole world could've come crashing down right then and there. K.O...mom...Dendy. All of it was going to shit and I couldn't do anything about it.
"Don't get in with the wrong crowd, okay?" She managed to say. I nodded.
A car pulled up. I seethed as I ripped away from my mom and grabbed a suitcase. After packing my stuff into the trunk I said one more bittersweet goodbye and got in the passenger seat.
"Hey sweetie." I could feel his grin burning into the back of my head as I stared out the blacked out windows.
"Dad." I greeted quietly. I couldn't stand him. That's why I moved in with mom.
"I missed you!" He smiled. I wanted to destroy him then and there.
"I wish I could say the same." I growled. He muttered something under his breath as he started the car. I would have been crying my eyes out unless I had the bear. My only comfort. I stared out the window for the rest of the car ride until we pulled up to BoxMore. Ugh. The sight of the place made me want to puke. He helped with the bags and we went inside.
