Virgil smacked Roman's hand away from him with a laugh.
He smiles at Nevada and Ronnie, a set of twins he and Roman had adopted several years ago. Despite all that time, this was their first time hearing the story. Every time they had asked, Virgil tried to tell them, but Roman would slap his hand of his mouth and say they were too young. Probably to protect them from cussing, pretending Virgil didn't already cuss in front of them.
Patton wasn't impressed when one day he had popped over and accidentally made Virgil drop the glass he had been holding.
"Shit!" Virgil had screamed and the twins giggled while mocking him.
Virgil shook his head and smiled at the memory.
He and Roman shared a quick kiss before getting up and going to the living room.

Roman missed Patton and Logan and Deceit, despite only being with them yesterday while the kids were at school. They had been roommates for five years, after all.
"Goodnight kitten." He said to Virgil and went to bed. That was the routine. Tell the twins a story from when they were younger, Roman goes to bed while Virgil would stay up writing scripts for plays in the theater Roman acts in, and would occasionally find roles to slip Ronnie and Nevada into.

Life was good, and they both knew it. They loved each other, and the world loved their plays. So goodnight to city lights, goodnight to late kisses, and wait for the world to wake again.
