Waking Up

I woke up to Carlos smacking me. I groan but I realise that the wand is ready. We all stand up. Carlos takes the wand and we look at it.

"That is some crazy shit." I smile.

"Not bad." Carlos inspects it.

"Yeah." Jay takes the wand.

"Let's go." We all say. We head for the door.

"Hey, guys, what about me?" Dude asks us.

"No, Dude, you stay. I'm serious. Stay." Carlos tells Dude. Dude lays down in his bed. "I love you, buddy. We'll be back before you know it." We run out of the school.

"We're coming, Ben." I say quietly. Doug walks up to us. Jay hides the wand.

"Oh, hey, have you seen Evie?" Doug asks us. We look at each other.

"Uh...she went camping." Carlos tells Doug.

"Evie wants to live in a castle. Sleeping on the ground with no place to plug in a hairdryer?" Doug makes me feel stupid.

"You know how spontaneous she is, bro." Carlos laughs nervously.

"Totally." Jay joins in.

"Later, Doug." Carlos smiles. We watch Doug walk away. We turn around to walk away when Lonnie appears.

"I'm coming with you guys." Lonnie has a bunch swords. Holy moly. We all laugh.

"What? We don't need swords at the..." Lonnie looks at Jay. "Wafflehead." Me and Carlos look at Jay.

"You're going to the Isle to rescue Ben. Look, it's either you take me...or I'm gonna have to tell Fairy Godmother."

"Listen, if you don't tell anyone, we'll let you come." I tell her. Lonnie swings her arms around the boys.

"Really?" Lonnie squeals as we walk to the limo.

"This isn't the Wizard Of Oz or the Yellow Brick Road. Chill." I roll my eyes.

"Right." Lonnie walks normally. She walks next to me so she can whisper something into my ear. "Does Time like me?" I nod. She grins from ear to ear.

"Why are you smiling, Lon?" Carlos asks her.

"Because I'm seeing the Isle." Lonnie lies.

"It's wicked." I smile.

"How wicked?" Lonnie asks.

"CJ Hook wicked." I giggle.

"Who are we fighting?"

"Pirates. Real pirates." I start to get excited. "One of them is a friend of mine."

"Harry Hook." Jay sighs.

"Don't be jealous that he's good looking." I smirk. Jay shoves me as we climb into the limo. "Mal and Evie will be waiting for us. Let's go. And let Carlos drive, Jay. He's experienced out of us five VK's." I tell Jay. Carlos climbs onto the drivers seat and Jay sits in the back with me. Carlos starts to drive us away. The sun starts to rise and I stare at it in awe. "It's beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you." Jay unbuttons my jacket.

"Jay." I whisper.

"The window is closed. Carlos and Lonnie can't see or hear us." He slowly takes it off.

"Right now isn't the best time." I moan softly.

"It's ok, kitten." Jay moves my hair to one side.

"Are you sure?" I ask him. "Are you sure we can do this?"

"Positive." He starts to kiss my neck.
