Part 19 - Birthday surprise

Ethan's p.o.v
As soon as the words 18 came out of her mouth everything just sunk in. I've missed a whole year of not being her boyfriend, creating memories, and showing her my love. It makes my heart stop that I could not be there for her for anything. But me and her got through it... somehow.
I immediately hug her and kiss her forehead already crating a plan in my mind of how to surprise her and make up for everything that I missed. Then it hits me and I try to think of a way I could leave to start the plan without her getting sad.
"Babe?" I say
"Hm" she hums looking up at me
"I am going to go to my house and tell my parents in person"
She nods and says "yea I'll just wait to my mom gets home"
With that I hug her one last time and I don't want to let go. I smile and eventually leave waving goodbye.
Sapphires p.o.v
When he said he wanted to see his parents and tell them in person in made me sad. But I know they should know immediately and I'm being extremely selfish. I decide to wait till my mom gets home from most likely getting grocery's.
Grayson's p.o.v
Me and Mia are cuddled up on her couch in the basement when my phone rings.
Me: hello?
E: BRO!
His voice is all panicked
Me: what happened
E: I remembered EVERYTHING!!!!
Me: REALLY!!!!!!!!!
I shout earning a glare from Mia asking me what's going on
I tell him I'll see him when I get home and hang up.
"What happened?"
"E CALLED AND SAID HE REMEMBERED... EVERYTHING!"
"REALLY?!" She screams
I nod rapidly and we silently dance like weirdos
Ethan's p.o.v
After I called Grayson I go to my house to tell my parents and then begin everything. They both were extremely happy and also excited that it was on Saphs birthday.
The first thing I do is go to the only place I can think and start setting up. I then decide that I should probably have somebody watching the stiff while I go get the final thing. I call Gray once again and he agrees asking if he could bring Mia. Once I said yes I go to get the final thing and get ready on how I'm going to get her here.
Sapphires p.o.v (sorry for all the quick changes of p.o.v)
After E left not even 5 minutes after my mom came home. I told her and she jumped up and down in excitement like a little kid. Then I get a text from E.
E😍: baby???
Me: what's wrong?
E😍: nothing I was thinking maybe I could take you somewhere for dinner for your birthday?
Me: of course. What time?
E😍: 7?
Me: that's fine
E😍: okay baby I love you💘
Me: Love you too💓
I check the time and see that it's already 4. Have I really been sitting doing nothing for 4 hours? Wow. I'm lazy.
I decide to get up and take a shower so I can have enough time to do my hair and makeup.
After I get out I dress in a longer black crop top with some ripped blue jeans. I then decide to blow dry and curl my hair. After that I go onto put my makeup on which consists of primer, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, eye liner, eyebrows, lipstick, contour, and highlight. I look at the time to see how much time I left and see that it's already 6:30. Did I really take that long to get dressed?
I decide to scroll through social media while I wait and in a matter of what seems like minutes the doorbell rings. I answer it and see Ethan standing there. I hug him and yell up to my mom to say I'm leaving. She screams an okay and I rush out of the house closing the door behind me.
"So where are we going?" I ask
"Somewhere special"
I don't ask anything else and start singing along to the music. E starts chuckling and grabs onto my hand, interlocking his fingers with mine.

20 minutes later i Still have no idea where we are going but decide not to say anything. Then we pull up to this beautiful ocean view. I see fairy lights and a blanket on the sand. This is adorable.
I smile and give him a kiss. I run out of the car and plop myself on the blanket.
"It's beautiful" I whisper
"Just like you" he whispers
I hit his chest and laugh "your so cliche"
"I know" he laughs
Then everything goes silent, and he turns to face me.
My face drops and I suddenly get worried.
"What happened"
"Nothing" he's quick to say "I'm just so lucky to have you. I can't imagine what you had to go through when I was in the coma. I just tried so hard to get back to you and when I did I fought so hard to remember who you were. Most girls would just run off with another guy and forget about me, but you didn't. You stayed and fought for me. You stuck by my side even when I was starting to loose hope. That's why I love you and one day I hope you will be my wife, and we'll have kids, and pets, and just be happy"
I start tearing up, "Baby... I love you too"
I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him, "I don't know how we got through it but we did" I say sighing and leaning my head on his neck.
