Part 6 - beach

Sapphire's p.o.v
It's been a week since Ethan asked me to be his girlfriend and it's been wonderful. He is the most caring and kind person. Just yesterday he bought me a small couch for my room! Tonight he is taking me on a date, but he won't let me know what it is.
Ethan's p.o.v
"Dude, is everything ready" I said nervously through my phone
"Yea everything is set up, your all set"
"Thanks Gray, I'll talk to you later."
"Bye"
"Bye"
I hang up the phone and sigh nervously. It's been a week that me and Sapphire have been dating and it's been so nice. I have no idea how I got so lucky.
I look at the time and see that it's already 6:00pm. Crap, it's 6, I NEED TO GO!
I run out of the house grabbing all my stuff making sure to look in the mirror on the way, to see if I look okay.
Sapphire's p.o.v
My phone beeps and I pick it up seeing a message from Ethan.
E❤️: I'm leaving in 30.
Me: okay, I'll be ready, what should I wear?
E❤️: something cute like a dress!
Me: okay.
I put down my phone and hurriedly rush to my vanity to do my hair, just now realizing I don't have much time to get ready. Since my hair has been already straightened I curl the ends a little. I then move into my makeup applying: primer, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, eyeliner, powder, blush, contour, and highlighter. I then set my face and check the time.
5:55, I only have 5 minutes, ughhhh.
I run to my closet picking out my maroon long sleeve colored dress that goes down to my knees.
The door bell rings, and I run to it before my mom can answer.
"Hey" I say looking at Ethan.
"Hey" he says looking at me up and down. "You look beautiful"
"So do you" I say sarcastically.
We both laugh but stop when my mom walks into the room. Oh gosh.
"Hi, I'm Sapphire's mom you must be Ethan"
He nods and shakes her hand.
"Hi..."
"Call me Missy"
"Hi Missy nice to meet you"
I grab Ethan's hand and look at my mom saying, "bye we"re leaving now"
My mom waves frantically at us both as we walk out.

When we get in the car I take a huge deep breath.
"Oh, come on Sapphire, your mom seems nice"
"She's nice, but embarrassing"
He laughs and so do I.
The car starts moving and Ethan turns the radio on.
"OMG! THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG!"
"You scared the living daylights out of me" Ethan gasps
"I'm sorry" I say
He continued driving and I say, "where are we going"
"Somewhere"
"No duh" I say
Not even a second later we pull up to this beautiful beach. There are fairy lights and candles. Somehow, and I dot know how he managed it, there was a big projector.
"Wow, E, this is beautiful" I say in awe.
He smiles and nods. "I hope you like it"
"Baby, I love it" I squeal jumping up and down like a little kid.
"Do you want to go swimming?" He states
"I didn't bring my bathing suit"
"I brought one for you"
"Okay"
I grab the bathing suit out of the car and change in the trunk. "Don't peek" I shout from the truck.
"I won't" he responds

When I'm finished changing I go out and see Ethan sitting on the blanket. I stand beside him and get a handful of water in my hands and drop it on his head.
"OH NO YOU DIDN'T" he shouted running after me
"AHHH" I screamed running into the ocean.
He caught up to me and picked me up throwing me into the ocean. He ran in and when a resurfaced he hugged me.
"Oops" he said sarcastically.
"I hate you" I said
"No you don't"
"Maybe I don't HATE YOU, but that was mean" I pout crossing my arms
He hugs me tighter and said, "I'm sorry baby didn't mean to"
That immediately made me smile and I pecked his lips and ran back on shore, with him running behind me.

We laid on the blanket together with us both looking up at the stars. "Wow it's beautiful"
"Just like you" he stated casually.
"Your cheesy"
"I know" he laughed.
He wrapped his arm around my waist and I snuggled up against him somehow actually getting comfy on the bumpy surface of the sand.
"Sapphire" Ethan says breaking the silence that had fallen over us.
"Yea?"
"I know it's early, but, I'm in love with you, and everyday I fall deeper in love"
"Ethan..." I start but he interrupts me.
"You don't have to say it back, but I needed to confess my feelings.
I looked back up at the stars.
Am I in love with Ethan?
